I just tried to use the joystick-configuration addon FyByWire. Though it works great, I had trouble when I tried to set a throttle axis to the hover axis. I have a Saitek Cyborg X, which has dual throttles, and set one to main thrust and one to hover thrust. The main thrust worked fine, but when I tried to use hover thrust, FlyByWire changed the throttle settings for both main thrust and hover thrust, e.g. I would set the main thrust axis (Throttle 1) to 50%, then set the hover thrust axis(Throttle 2) to 75%. Orbiter would ignore the 50% throttle setting from the main thrust axis and set both hover and main thrust to 75%, when I only wanted main at 50% and hover at 75%. This is also a problem with the main thrust axis, because if you set your main to a certain level, but then accidentally bump the hover axis, FBW ignores the main thrust axis and sets main and hover to a small value.

If anyone has had this problem and can help, I would greatly appreciate it! If further explanation is needed, just ask.

Have you disabled the joystick "main engine control" in the Orbiter launchpad?

Sorry, Heilor, for wasting your time. That fix was so incredibly easy, I instinctively looked for my "Easy" button. (BTW, is it possible for someone to make an "Easy" button Smilie?)

I will try to avoid posting more stupid questions in the future. Thanks for the fix, though. Without you, I probably would have never fixed the problem.

No problem, I wouldn't have known that could be an issue if i hadn't done it myself at least once
