Hi everyone!

I would like your help with my mission patch for the new stratosphere balloon project. I would like to include a capital greek letter in it which also has a certain meaning:
griechisches_alphabet.jpg

  • Delta stands for changes in parameters
  • Lambda usually is used for wavelenghths and could be a symbol for the altitude here
  • Xi would be an X and X always is the symbol for the unknown variable
  • Pi always is used in connection with circles, and balloon, Earth and Sun are Spheres
  • Sigma is the first letter of the Project title and also would be a symbol of the sum of all the efforts (like on Schirra's MA-8)
  • Phi is the letter that my Department of Physics uses as a symbol
  • Psi is used for waves and the 433 MHz radio signal used to find the balloon after landing is elemetary and it uses waves
I would like to have your votes and opinions :)!

Phi, because it also looks like a balloon.

Thanks to the six voters so far :)! I would still like more people to throw in their votes, I now think that I should have put in a time limit...I would say that I look what the result is on March 30th and the one which has the majority then is used. What do you think?

I went for psi, reminds me of the old unit for pressure...

N.

OK, many thanks to the six last minute voters, I think the result of the vote is still quite good, the majority voted for Phi with 41.67%! :)
