This game is by no means Orbiter, but it isn't Starwars either.
The game is called Infinity. Now, what i have isn't a game, but its the "combat prototype", which just is an example of how the fighting will take place.
The "realism" comes in because you have inertia, a velocity vector, and you can disable "auto-compensation"; normally, you will start to travel where you are pointed, but with auto-compensation turned off, you can point in a direction, and still travel in the same direction you were (good for strafing battles).

The "inertia" comes in either when you are mining, or changing speed. If you're changing speed, you do it slowly, not all at once. When you are mining, if you go to slow down, it takes A LOT longer.

You are right. It isn't orbiter as orbiter as actually been released. This thing has been in development for as long as I can remember with only a combat prototype to show.

Graphics are pretty good, yeah.

wow, this looks like an amazing game! How long has it been in development?

How did you connect to the Infinity servers? Whenever I click on the servers page I get this:

The game servers are offline, as the game is still in development.

It's a bit worrying that the Infinity Forum news section has April Fools jokes for the past three years on the first page. Guess there isn't that much news from them....
