SC Tuskegee Airman Leroy Bowman dies at age 92

One of the last surviving members of the Tuskegee Airmen has died at the age of 92.
Leroy Bowman of Sumter passed away Wednesday of natural causes, WLTX reported.
Bowman served in WWII in a group called the Tuskegee Airmen, which was the first group of African-American pilots who fought in war.
They were named after where they graduated from Flight School -- Tuskegee Army Air Field in Alabama...

Red Tails movie based on the Tuskegee Airmen (OF)

I have the pretty shallow movie (Red Tails) about them on BluRay... they had really deserved a way better movie than that one.

A sad loss to America, and to history.

Red Tails was another tragic Lucasfilm. The CGI looked too much like a video game and the dialog was pretty cliche in many places.

Much better was The Tuskegee Airmen (also starring Cuba Gooding Jr.)
