General Question Server Help

So I'm having a little trouble understanding what the server version of orbiter's purpose is.

It lets you use your own graphics engine like D3D9 or D3D11 which greatly improve performance on older systems and it also makes orbiter look better.

You can find D3D9 here: http://d3d9client.codeplex.com

You have to place the files in your root directory, launch the server version and activate D3D9 in your modules tab in the orbiter launchpad.

Thanks a bunch. I'll try it later. Just bought a thrustmaster x joystick throttle combo and am checking it out. One disappointment is that I cant get the buttons on the joystick or the throttle to react with the game, for like hover throttle or Horizontal plane as example. Know of any fixes or software for programming joysticks and throttles?
