Vessel Space Exploration Vehicle

I believe T. Neo is referring to the APAS/LIDS petals, which do look a little small.

This is a nice reference photo from a russian modern APAS, Thanks. What vessle is it from?

This has come along quite well, nice to see the input is helping.

Right there in the filename. ;)

From the Kristall docking module on Mir. I can't quite make out if it's the axial or radial port.

Thanks. I may continue working as a SC3 vessel, until I get the parent/child animation fixed. So only 1 arm will work. And the rod holding the array will be fixed. I suppose I could make the arms as vessels then you would have 2 and the rod under neath the same a vessel.

Added grapple to the arm. But now questions?

Also the attachment point does move with the arm. but when I grap the ummu he spins around.

Code:
[PARENT_ATTACH_1]
NAME="rms"
POS=(-1.391703,-0.858832,1.829463)
DIR=(0,1,0)
ROT=(1,0,0)
LOOSE=0
RANGE=10.
ID="GS"

Here is a rough SPACECRAFT3 version.
http://www.4shared.com/zip/ObM088g-/NEWSEV2.html

keys:
K/G open rear doors
left shift+
2 array rod
3 right docking ring
4 left docking ring
5 antenna
6 gold arms

std robotic arms commands.

Included is the Orion array. This is Donamy's. It is attached on a fixed point.

I hope someone can see about the attachment/grapple rotation issue.
here is a video of the ummu being shaken and rotated.

attached is a new ini

OK gattispilot,I wanted to test out you new space exploration vehicle,but I am getting a CTD,and this error.Thanks
Code:
**** WARNING: Mesh not found: .\Meshes\OrionArray.msh
Finished initialising status
Finished initialising camera
Finished initialising panels
Finished setting up render state
**** WARNING: Mesh not found: .\Meshes\.msh
**** WARNING: Mesh not found: .\Meshes\.msh

opps. here it is

I hope someone can see about the attachment issue, why the objects are rotating and shaking

It's really cool so far gattispilot,except I coudn't get the solar panel to move correctly.it looks like its breaking up into pieces.

On the solar array which is Donamy, you switch to the OrionSA and press K it then opens up.

Things I want to do is add the PEP to it so that the PEP will rotate the array to the Sun

Maybe to rotate panel to face a pilot if you going to add virtual cockpit and MFD.
Add this for virtual cockpit to check.

Code:
FOCUS=1
CAMERA=(-0.608,0.249,1.389)

[VC]
MESHNAME=NEWSEV3

Thanks. added those lines.

Does anyone else get that shaking on the grapple point?

I think it might be nice to have those 4 panels actually as MFD's.

So did you get it also?

Can you have a VC in SC3. with a 2d panel. It might be nice to have the 2 center panels as mfd.

You can have 2 MFD and one HUD,but they are with no control button,check config file of Shuttle Icarus for MFD and HUD.

Thanks. I got it. Will take a look.

some ideas:
1.. remove the right arm and make it a vessel so you could use both arms.
2. remove rod on the bottom and make it a separate vessel so you could fold and unfold it and move the attachment point so the solar array could be stowed.

2. You can all add to mesh and animate don't see why separate vessel for solar array.

I think only one robotic arm is allowed. So that is why the separate right arm.

Same reason on the array. It basically would be a robotic arm. I might be wrong. But it basically would need to have an attachment point that follows the end and rotates.

Thanks. I have seen those. The one thing I have noticed is the simulator nose is different than this which is the latest version. Mainly how the nose is extended.

Any other ideas?

That is only a mockup, after all.
