Surface Science Kit v1.0

This is a collection of few instruments that can add some "feeling" to your surface operations.
Designed for OFMM but can be used on any planet/moon. (of course setting up weather station on airless body is pointless but...)

Press U to unpack instruments.

Package contains:

Seismic sensor
Drill
Weather station
Relay Post
RTG Power source

Modeled by Loru - Packed By Woo482

Installation: Unpack to Orbiter folder preserving directory structure.

Now I can really DO somethig in the surface! Thanks!

I'll set up weather stations on whatever airless body I choose, I don't need you to tell me what to do! :P

Very good, there is not enough of that kind of "surface EVA" add-ons.

clsep

great Ideal and nice work. Looking for some one to do an alsep package for constalation on the moon

Are these vessels when spawned, and able to have animations?

Forgive me if this is a stupid question.

actually they're no more than eyecandy but you can substitute instruments with proper animated ones - I'm not a coder so I can't do that.

Actually, I was wondering if it could spawn a SC3 vessel, and make it easy for everyone to animate.

It wouldn't be exactly hard to make an animated DLL of those, autopilots are harder than pretty animations. I would say I could animate something like the weather station on one evening, maybe even add a blinkenlight to it to find the weather station again.

EDIT: One question to the beta testers - how far does the weather API of the next Orbiter version go: "Only" wind, or maybe also sunlight and temperature?

A .dll for these experiments is in work, I'll add some basic UMMU interaction through action areas and a few animations.
As far as I know the only weather feature added in the beta is wind, I haven't seen anything relating to sunlight and temperature.

Thank you guys. I had been hoping that someone had at least STARTED working on something like this.
