Updated with new  textures and various bugfixes

Romulans looking down their noses at you? Ferengi laughing at you behind your back? Orion slave girls making fun of your battleth? You need a really big ship. Introducing the T'boragh class from Spacetech Industries.

With the T'boragh class you can:
  • dominate small planets
  • tell those pasty faced gits with the rubber fetish to borg off
  • get all the hottest green-skinned space babes*
*Not guaranteed to work with green-skinned space hunks. Sorry, Captain Janeway.

The T'boragh is a Star Trek inspired vehicle (how did you guess?) though strictly non-canon. It is intended less as a vessel in its own right (though it is fully functional in that regard) and more as as a destination for your five-minute missions. To this end it is equipped with nine docking ports and a detailed shuttle bay. Most of the scenarios require my NX-426 which is specifically designed to work with the T'boragh's invisible tractor beam docking ports (a necessary conceit since Trek vessels tend not to be equipped with physical docking ports).

The T'boragh uses a custom module to implement multiple animation and lighting effects.

WARNING: this is a very large mesh by Orbiter's standards. You will need a gaming grade graphics card. As a rough guide any mid to top range card made in the last two years should yield acceptable frame rates. Various sizes of textures are provided. If your card cannot handle the default high resolution version consult the readme for replacement instructions.

Note: due to its use of local lights this vessel works with Orbiter 2010p1 only.

It seems to be an Fleet-Escort-Ship, but the design is really more federation style.

Yeah, looks like a Norway Federation starship class. But, the mesh is really good as model :). Pretty gift for Star Trek fans ;).

Sorry , but I had to rate this add on as a 1 out of 5.

Not being backward compatible with the last stable version of Orbiter means that I can't test this add on until I get a new computer. My current family PC cannot handle Orbiter 2010. I can run 2006 P1 in widowed mode on a Vista OS just fine.

The latest stable version of Orbiter is Orbiter 2010P1.

And if you have problems running Orbiter 2010 properly on your old family PC (the core of my PC is from 2004, hardly high tech), you simply need to reduce a few settings. I even get already better frame rates with the DirectX 7 renderer, while the DirectX 9 client is even faster.

That's a terrible reason to give it a 1 out of 5. The addon specifies that it's made for Orbiter version 100830. If you haven't bothered updating to the latest version yet, it's not his fault.

Looks interesting, I haven't played with it yet though. Let's get it textured up if you can.
