Do you believe it, i think that we really went to the moon. Yes some of the footage they got is quiet intresting, why isnt there any stars? whats with all that. But i still believe it's real. I think all the people who think we didnt go it's just well i'll take a word out of Conol Potter from M*A*S*H '' It's bull-hockey''.
But it will like to see what everyone thinks.

Lol, not another one...

We already have all the evidence we need to prove that men landed on the moon. We have twelve eye-witness accounts of man walking on the moon, plus an additional twelve eye-witness accounts of man orbiting the moon. We have over 380 kg of lunar samples, most of which still exist today. We have countless photographs and videos of men walking on the moon. We have the accounts of multiple, independent of entities who tracked the Apollo spacecrafts' journeys to and from the moon, at least one of whom would have had a strong motivation for revealing any evidence of foul play. The list goes on...

In short, there is far more evidence that men landed on the moon than there is that Darwin visited the Galapagos Islands, or that Columbus "discovered" America, or of any number of other events widely accepted as historical fact.

What do you mean '' not another one'' im with you it's real but i just wanted to know what everyone else thinks.

"Not another one" as in "We've had a thousand discussions on this topic before."

In any case, my opinion:

NASA faked the landings in a studio on Mars. :P

Or:

NASA tried to fake the landings, but the special effects of the time couldn't cut it. They found that it was easier just to do the landings.

A while ago I missed an opportunity to have a nice long "discussion" with a "non-believer.";) Got that speech all worked up and then didn't get to use it, so I figured now was my chance.:)

My alternative theory is that the whole conspiracy theory is just a hoax drummed up by NASA to raise publicity for their new moon program. After all, what better reason to send people to the moon than to prove that we did it forty years ago? Bart Sibrel and all the rest of the hoaxers could just be paid actors. (I'd be a heck of a lot cheaper than bribing hundreds of thousands of engineers and scientists.)

Yes, the Moon is a hoax.
It is just a big balloon slowly moving across the sky with a light in it to simulate phases.
What conclusive evidence? Tides? Have you tried to put a ball over your full bathtub? Surely, the water didn't rise, so Moon-causing-tides is utter nonsense.
( :) )

The moon landings were faked at Area 51, Everyone knows that the Aliens who have been to the moon helped to make the Area around the Studio look like the moon because they have been there. To make it more realistic they vaccumed sucked all the air out of the area to make the flag to stop from waving. Why can't any of you see that?
LOL

I doubt you'd find many Orbinauts who believe that it was hoaxed.

The "lack of stars" argument, btw, is probably one of the most pathetic arguments the hoax theorists have come up with.

Surprising we have one person who believes the hoax nonsense. But I suppose you can find them anywhere... even here... but I had hoped to be free of such dumbness in this forum.

What I just don't get is that where do the theorists/attention-seekers think the astronauts went for those three days? I mean, there's no way to fake the launch of the largest spacecraft ever, the thing definatley went up there. And it certainly came back! Where did those guys go over those three days? Mars?

This has nothing to do with "to believe" it or not. It's a historic and scintific fact that the USA went to the Moon 9 times from 1968 to 1972. It is also not controversial. Just a few ignorant journalists, authors, self-proclaimed wanna-be hobby-scientists and also ignorant people on the web debate it but without to know that they're not able to debate it because of lack of physical and technological knowledge.

Meanwhile for me it's funny to watch the ignorance of such believers and to let them believe they know what really happened. I don't debate it anymore. But I feel sorry for them, because some of them even might be an easy victim for stuff like Scientology...

An Apollo mission averagely lasted 6 to 10 days.

I don't think he was being serious... we had the topic over and over again, so the temptetion to make fun of it is rather big. If noone yet would have voted for the hoax, I would have! ;)

Let me get this straight.

NASA spent billions of dollars launching huge rockets that burn 20 tons of rocket fuel per second. They used ellaborate stages and tricks way ahead of their time to fake footage of men walking on the lunar surface. They fabricated every lunar sample brought back from the moon.

And they forgot to paint the stars.

Let me ask you... have you ever taken pictures of the night sky? Cameras are not sensitive enough to pick up the dim light of the stars. An extremely slow shutter speed and no movement of the camera are necessary to photograph stars. If we have trouble with it now, what makes you think they had it any easier in the 70s?

What happens is that moon is like UFOs: It is a meteorological balloon. Moon in ancient traditions was just a kite.

And here is another thing they never told you: Iraq does not exist.
All this fake war was filmed in fake towns in Arizona and near Nellis AFB.
Iraq can't be in the opposite side of Earth for Earth is flat...
Iraq war is therefore another fancy movie to keep people entertained aside of the crisis.

More pathetic than the "No plume of smoke from the LM" excuse?

They believe they hired people to go up on the rocket and stay in LEO, while the real astronauts were on earth, faking the journey.

Sort of related: Here is a Mythbusters pilot episode for 1989, years before they became hosts of a real TV show. It's devoted to busting the " moon hoax" (as in proving the moon landings were real).
