Hi,
is there an MFD or plugin that can change thrust during flight?
Or that can make very fine changes in thrust?

thanks.

Is Ctrl + and Ctrl - not fine enough? I can't think of an MFD that does what you are asking for, but perhaps if you tell us what you are trying to achieve, in terms of the bigger picture, we might be able to give more help.

Yes you are right ctrl + and - is not enough.
I search an mfd that can change the power of an engine(N) and the ISP during flight and that can make a burn of maybe 0.001% of thrust. ( just an example).
For short: an mfd with enhanced thrust controls.

Changing ISP during flight is not realistic. It's a parameter of the engine, not something that can be adjusted on the fly.
If you want to do a very small burn, use your translational RCS thrusters instead of your main engine. If you hold CTRL while using the RCS it does it at 10%, which allows for very small thrust amounts.

Notwithstanding, I think computerex had an MFD in his addon pack that allowed those parameters to be adjusted on the fly - useful for testing purposes. I'm going from memory, but feel free to check it out yourself: [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3508"]Computerex Add-on Pack[/ame]

EDIT: I should also note that it is very poor for immersion, for the reasons you state.

Yeah that was what i searched.
Thanks.

Well, you can change the Isp of some types of electric drives, such as the VASMIR, which trades Isp for slightly higher thrust.

Also, many engines change Isp slightly as their propellant tanks empty, especially hypergolic thrusters used on spacecraft with tanks pressurized by a fixed mass of helium or some other inert gas.

I don't think computerex's addon simulates these things realistically, though, it would be up to the user to not cheat.
