I got the Deltaglider IV into orbit and docked to the Arrow and im head for the moon and i have a couple of questions.

In the deltaglider when it docks is there a way to transfer the crew to the arrow instead of a eva, there is a way of shuting down the deltaglider and make it act like the crew is on the mother ship but they dont show up on the crew list on the arrow.

Next what is the best way to get cargo to the arrow in orbit above earth, i had 4 containers on the delta glider to start but it would take alot of trips to earth to fill arrow up.

Next what is the best way (without the scenario editor) to transfer cargo to the arrow from deltaglider, what i did is get the delta glider close realesed the cargo towards the arrow and grappeled them with it. is there a way to add a external docking port to keep the glider close to the cargo area without it drifting away, and or a grapple arm like the ssrms on the station or rms on the shuttle.

yes its possible to board the mothership make sure the engines are off and everythings off except the main or backup life support and external power on and apu off and press apu to go back into internal command

poorly designed mesh

How do I fix this message about poorly designed mesh. I have gathered all material parts. Not sure what else I can do. I have even added a crew driver to this. I may just make this a regular vessel

This seems the most apt place to ask this, how do I print the ""§" character from the keyboard?
Been reading the .scn files from Dan's excellent add-on, and its used a lot. Did the usual searches, but didn't get much help.

thanks, N.

Thanks Xyon, works for me!

astrosammy, old english keyboard in all senses..

Thanks folks, N.

Saving waypoints : UCGO

I've read all the manuals, and serched the foru, but I can't find anythng about saving waypoints.

I can make a path for a vehicle, and it workks. Not there when I re-enter the scenario.

I'm obviously missing something obvious...

Anyone ideas?

N.

Ah, good point garyw, this is on Orbiter 2010.

Just to clarify a bit...

This may be related, but If I add UCGO car chrys to my scenario, I can't make it the focus vehicle. I can switch focus to it and it works fine.
However if I run the (Current state.scn) immediately after exiting, that scenario does a CTD.

I haven't pursued this, I'm more intersted with waypoints and paths at the moment, so could be a red-herring?

Possibly. It's interesting though because I've noticed a tendancy for orbiter 2010 to not save UCGO cargo states correctly so I'm wondering if it's also not saving waypoint states properly. I know it works in 2006 which is why I was curious about the version number.

Ok, I'll do the same in 2006 and see what happens, thanks, N.

I made a little triangular circuit with the waypint edit mode, and it looks like this in Orbiter 2006p1:
http://s89.photobucket.com/albums/k207/Notebook_04/?action=view&current=newfile.mp4

Works as I'd expect it.

Tried that same scenario in Orbiter 2010 and got a CTD with a brief frame of the UCGO:chrys, but no DG?

Some more info:

This scenario was made and edited and saved in Orbiter 2010, works in XP SP3 and Vista Home SP1. If another vessel has focus at start-up, it seems fine.

Just for update and info.
The waypoint saves fine now, so I'm assuming it was just a learing curve for me.
AI vehicle won't accept focus at startup, but thinking about it, why would you do that? I did it because I was making waypoints, but its not a problem to switch focus to the vehicle you want, so I'll forget that "problem"

Here's a video of a collection of vehicles running around the Newcastle Airport base:

http://s89.photobucket.com/albums/k207/Notebook_04/?action=view&current=UCGO_1.mp4

The frame rate is better than shown, double that. Presume the frame grabber is stealing proccessor time?
