Has anyone here ever had an UFO sighting, or even contact with aliens (e.g. "bedroom visitors")?
My mother once saw an UFO, but that was probably a daytime Iridium Flare.

I had a UFO sighting when I was about 3 years old. My memory is that of four craft flying in a diamond formation over my house.

However, I am now well aware of the pliability of the human mind, so the chances are pretty good that what I saw was something mundane like a couple of helicopters or planes flying over, and over the years, my memory has become horrifically distorted! So I don't think I could class it as a real UFO sighting! :D

There have been quite a few UFO sightings in Britain over the last few weeks. But every time (pretty much without fail) they turn out to be these floating lantern things!

As for "contact with aliens", I have had many cases of sleep paralysis and the associated hallucinations that go with them, and I can certainly understand how someone who does not know the natural explanation can believe that they have been "visited" (either by aliens, ghosts, demons, or whatever...)

personaly i dont think we have ever been visited by another alien race. although if it does happen i can die a happy man, since i have been a child all i have wanted to do was see an alien.

Many years ago, I was riding in a car with two of my friends, heading back into Las Vegas from far out in the desert --- in the middle of the night.

The night was clear, and pitch black. We were near Tonapah. Hmmmm. Suddenly, the desert was brilliantly illuminated off at the horizon by half a dozen brilliant points of light. Just as suddenly, flowing streams of hundreds of almost-equally brilliant lights erupted in shallow arcs from a point that was moving swiftly (well over 100 knots) very close to the ground. These arcs of light intercepted the first lights one at a time, blowing them into showers of sparks.

The whole episode was utterly silent, and over in just a few seconds. My friends and I barely had time to react, and were struck dumb for quite a while, before we checked with each other to determine that we'd each seen the same thing.

I'm pretty sure this was a test of some kind of helicopter-borne gun. The only question I have is why they proceeded with the test when they saw the lights of our car. I suppose they figured anyone driving in that direction on that road in the middle of the night would keep their mouths shut.

They did it deliberately when you drove by, so the aliens would be distracted by your presence :P

A few weeks ago I saw something on TV about UFOs.
They made an experiment: They set someone under magnetic radiation and later, under hypnosis, he said that he had contact with aliens. So maybe it is only magnetic radiation.

It was about 6 or 7 years ago, saturday lunchtime on a bright summers day, I was walking to a local shop with my best friend, suddenly he stopped and told me to look up. I saw 3 silver balls flying in a circle around each other, they looked very high up due to the way that they were blued out by the atmosphere and they must have been moving pretty quickly though without any definate reference its hard to judge size, speed and distance. My buddy saw 4 at first, but one had flown away by the time i'd looked up, they completed one more revolution as i observed, then split up and flew away on north west and south headings - the previous one had gone roughly east according to my friend.

They flew away even faster than they were circling and were out of sight in a few seconds. I would love to know what they were, I'm familiar with lots of types of aircraft observed from the ground - spent a lot of time at airshows when i was a kid, but i've no idea what these were... I've seen lots of similar flying silver balls on other peoples UFO videos that i saw years after and they look exactly the same, though they're usually just hanging there or something and not manuvering in the same way that these were. They were fast, under control - i thought they were balloons until they flew off on different headings (that was the point where i was like wow, wtf!), were not aerodynamic and looked to be moving way too fast to be lighter than air vehicles. It was very strange and convinced me that there are very strange things flying around our skies that are unknown to the public.

I had contact with an alien. From Austria.

But no UFOs. I once say a large daytime meteorite.

Last night I was randomly looking at the sky, when I saw a bright light moving. At first I thought it was a plane, because they are usually seen in the direction I was looking. However, after a minute or so it was clear that it wasnt a plane, because they werent any position lights, just one light source, and its movement didnt look like a plane at all.
It was pretty bright. I stopped looking for a split second, and when I looked again it wasnt there.
At first I thought it was ISS, but after looking on heavens-above, I couldnt find any sighting of any satellite in that position at that time.
I am a little puzzled because I was also hearing voices on my head (ok this is a stupid joke) xD

Wonder what it was...

a comet or meteor

a comet or meteor

Definitely not, it wasnt that fast. It had the speed you would expect for a satellite (I guess). It took 2-3 or maybe 4 minutes to travel a distance of about... 3 lunar diameters? Cant really remember

However that very night I did see a fast meteor, less than half a second swoosh of light ;)

The Ghost light.... i mean, a helicopter.

I'd hope it wasn't a comet! That would be pretty worrying.

Up to 4 minutes to travel 1.5 degrees across the sky? Sounds a lot slower than a satellite!

do illegal aliens jumping the border count i have contact with alot of them who come from cuba (on a floating door)

I've seen a couple of UFOs (read Unidentified Flying Objects) but alas I didn't have any photo equipment with me. The next one I see, I'll either image it or shoot it down and image it later.

The are illegal, thus they only count 1/6th. ;)

The problem is identified: Cuba is too close to the USA. Move Cuba away on the other side of the Atlantic.

Well, what can I say... Once I saw something that ressembled a BSP4 headed for polar orbit... Was that you Greg?

Some other day I saw a poorly modelled mesh floating in the air and I complained about the poor quality of alien models... I ran Mesh Wizard in my attampt to recalculate its normals...

Haven't seen any UFOs myself, but I've heard of two rather serious happenings. Back in '91, many strange lights appeared in the Retezat mountains. Many people, in at least two different groups, saw them. They seemed to arrange themselves in various configurations, even resembling the lights of a city at night, according to witness accounts. Unfortunately, the pilots of a plane headed for a city about 100 miles away apparently mistook those lights as the destination city, and started preparing for landing. It flew straight into a cliff face. The resulting investigation concluded that the landing gear was down, and there was something about them announcing the airport that they're landing, maybe recorded on the black box...can't remember exactly now.
Another case happened in 2007, when a MIG 21 got hit by something while flying at 6500m, at over 800 km/h. The impact totally shattered the canopy glass, punctured the pilot's helmet and caused him head injuries. However, he remained conscious and managed to land the plane. The video recording of the impact didn't show anything more than four dark objects smashing into the cockpit. No detail could be revealed.
For the first one, maybe some kind of optical atmospheric phenomenon could be the culprit. As for the second, I don't know. Maybe some birds, or debris from something.
