What's wrong with LandMFD?

I tried landing a DeltaGlider on Mars with LandMFD (using the scenario that came with the MFD) and my DG hit the Mars surface in bad attitude, out of sight of Olympus Base.

Some time later, I launched a DeltaGliderIV into lunar orbit with the "moon ascent" autopilot and tried a EVA. After finishing with my spacewalk, I tried to land on back at the base with the LandMFD and my DGIV crashed.

Is there any fix for this? Perhaps another MFD to try? Or do I have to just land manually?

LandMFD was built for an earlier version of Orbiter, so it has some bugs. It still works fine with some vessels, like ShuttleA.
