XR2 Top Hull Repaint
This is a repaint kit for the XR2 and is complete with 5 main layers and a spray layer for you to create your own XR2-500 skins.

Layers include...
1. Top Layer (Black layer outline - keep at 100% opacity)
2. Main Frame (Panels and outlines - set to 50% opacity)
3. Shade Layer (Panel highlights - set at 100%)
4. Details (Vents, warnings and extras - Keep at 100% opacity)
5. Pitted Texture (Gives a pitted metal effect and is included as an example layer - set at 50% opacity)

The 6th layer can be covered with any colour you wish or merged with pictures, but ensure you keep the layers 1 to 4 in position for best effects. You can experiment by adding more layers and changeing their opacity setting to get more effects on your skin.

RepaintOriginal credits go to Douglas E Beachy and Steve"Coolhand"Tyler.

Excellent work Pennyblack

thankyou for keeping my credit on there, and you've completely redone the surfaces too, my biggest crit would be that the panel lines are too thick, there's really no need for them to be more than a pixel, and more subtle... you could try removing the outer glow you're using for edge highlight, and use an inner glow instead to close the gaps.

This is much better than another paint kit i saw recently, which was basically my paint kit, with my default hull texture (the one you get when you dl the xr2) added as a new layer and my credit removed... someone had packaged it up like it was a new thing they'd created and slapped their name on there.

Looks great.
I'll probably start using it for my skins from now on.

Edit: Although, I must agree with Coolhand, the panel lines are a bit thick.

When I started doing the remap for the XR2, at the time the only way for me to get the diaginals right on the hatches was to thicken them and I haven't tried to refine them since. I do love bulky panels though and that didn't help I suppose. But I'll have a look at the frame layer and see if I can reduce the line thickness.

Thankyou for the feed back and comments. :)
