Let's hope it holds unubtanium :hmm:
Quiet, you! :lol:It's a Japanese probe so it would make for Anime stuff: either turns into a giant robot or irradiates a bunch of schoolgirls who transform into catpeople/mermaids/pop idols/whatever and do the Starlight Honeymoon Spiral Heartache Attack or whatever.
And any word on when it will be recovered and opened? the suspense is killing me!
I can't find any coordinates but I did read that it hit the middle of the landing ellipse. BrianJ's post shows where that is: http://www.orbiter-forum.com/showthread.php?p=177582#post177582Any word as to where it acually landed?
So when will we know if it has unobtanium or nothing?
If they have obtained some, it wouldn't be unobtanium, would it? :dry:So when will we know if it has unobtanium or nothing?
It is expected to take at least a week to properly open the capsule to get access to its sample containment box.
They are talking about having found a low pressure gas in the chamber. Not sure how they would extract a sample of that exactly but they would probably want the ambient pressure to be below the chamber pressure to prevent contamination, in addition to inert (nitrogen?) conditions.potentially in a month. The sample container has to be opened in an inert atmosphere and then whatever is inside needs to be analysed - also in an inert atmosphere.
