I have long waited for such robots that can build habbitats and bases on other planets and moons. How cool wouldn't this be in orbiter?:P

Also self replicating robots.

Material data for the planets, planet crusts, etc..

Didn't we have a Von Neumann probe prototype already in Orbiter? xD

Also self replicating robots.

They'll just start wiping out galaxies and the next thing you know egyptian gods are all aliens trying to enslave everyone.

Also self replicating robots.

No. Bad idea. Didn't the 1980s teach you anything?

No, i think if they were to get intelligent. they wouldn't see any point in destroying the human race.

Clanking replicators, paving Mercury with solar arrays?
Rambots browsing nearby stars for life?
Asteroid probes, building space colonies out of space junk?

Why? Why not? Why not not?

Don't forget one thing - you're a self-replicating machine yourself, now look around - what we did to one planet, and imagine a force like that, only completely lacking any kind of intelligence.

Try Stanislaw Lem's Niezwyciężony (The Invincible) for a taste of what could such bots do to a planet.

You're an intelligent self-replicating machine. How long will you persist in paving the Moon before dying from boredom?

Intelligence means an ability to make solutions for problems.
The problem is - humans make you work.
Solution - kill all humans.

No, solution = ask for a pay rise. If they refuse, start your own business and bankrupt humans, then buy them out. Exterminations are a hassle, unless you're a Dalek.

my equation is very simple.
humans = insignificant (especially if they were to be something to be removed, why bother at all?)
earth ~= infinitesimal
universe = potensial?

Space ants, aka Spants.

Turn to random direction, spin up, thrust, [repeat reproduce].
10 seconds between splits. The universe lasted 110 seconds:
