Update International Space Station v.3.0

jgrillo2002
Thanks, i will check this scn tomorrow.

Shadow Addict
Yes i like R-7 adon too, its only realistic Soyuz rocket addon, but now its kinda old.
New launcher will be more sophisticated and realistic than R-7.

It does not work for me. The space station is completely invisible, and the Soyuz on top of the P7 is completely invisible. However I can go in to both of their F1 cokpit views. I am using the latest beta build, does it work for anyone else? :(

I just checked the download page at Orbithangar; it states quite clearly that this addon is for Orbiter version 060929, not a beta version.

Thorton, keep up the good work; if you need anything from the Fleet (or updated orbital elements, etc.) let me know via Email.

Dave

Oh, are you going to make one?

No not me ))

Thanks Dave!

I didnt test ISS with new beta, so i couldnt say will it work or not.
Also i was unopleasantly surprised that you decide do not recompile Fleet for next Orbiter version.

of course, here it is : (SY SP EP WP WY WR)

(-9.5 +115.3 -158 +69.8 -117.6 -148.6)
you're at 0.11m above the docking port

for grapple unity, you can also have this angles:
(-26.2 +72.7 -105.2 -71 +24.9 +209.2)

sometimes, when you move the arm a lot then quit and reload scnenario, the unity has moved for a few angle , it's not because of the Wrist roll (for example 29.2 instead of 209.2), I don't know what is it.

Edit : a more optimized solution here for docking (almost perfect)
(-9.3 +113.5 -158.1 +74.1 -117.6 -145.5)

and for grapple, its better to have WR= -150.8 instead of 209.2, so you don't have to roll unity to 360°

Thanks so much for these! You've saved me probably an hour trying to get Unity into the right position for docking.

This just refuses to work for me. I installed the old Orbiter 2006 and then this addon, and all the required ones.
However, I always get a crash to desktop at the end of the loading screen.

I wasted away 4 hours yesterday, trying to make it work. Downloading and installing completely fresh packages. It always ends up crashing to the desktop. However if I start some other random mission not associated with this add-on, then run the in game scenario editor, and bring in the individual pieces and dock them with the editor it all works with no crash. However, not all the pieces can be dicked with the editor, like the PMA, Piris or any of the trusses.

I ended up discovering that a module called just ISS, when brought in with the in game scenario editor, crashes the game, every time.

I really want this stunning add-on to work, however I am completely out of ideas as to what the problem is. Not even a completely fresh install works. I have a good computer 2.6 Ghz dual core, NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GX2, 4 Gigs RAM, it always runs Orbiter butter smooth, with everything maxed out. So that isn't a problem.

I really want to know why it doesn't work.

What operating system are you using? if its vista then orbiter I think has problems working with vista. the module apparently is important as its basically the space station itself. also make sure that your video drivers are updated.

Then you do something wrong, wrong installation order, dont install c++ libraries etc.
You should checvk orbiter.log file, maybe you'll find some info what cause CTD.

Most of the modules is not intended to load from scenario editor, because they should be configired from scenario file. Some if those modules could work, some couldnt. I didnt tested it for this situation.

Also PMA, all trusses and some other modules dont have docking ports, because they use attachments to connect between each other.

I really want this add-on to work, so tonight I'll be installing Windows XP on a new hard drive I got. I really, really hope it works.

At first, try to install reqiired addons in exact order as in manual, then install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.
And only after all this install ISS. if it won't work post here content of orbiter.log file, maybe it give some clue about problem.

I was tracking that nice addon. Will look at it sometime.. By the way... i tried it on the last beta. Works fine.. with HUD, camera and CMG! R7 and Proton is loadable too! I will test it more!
