I'm trying to start up Orbiter 2010 on Windows 7, and it crashes a few seconds into startup each time. It happens on all scenarios and in two separate installs. Disabling all modules doesn't work. Orbiter.log doesn't show anything unusual. Does anybody have any ideas why this is happening?

EDIT: A new install works fine. I think I accidentally screwed up the file structure of in the broken ones, cause their sizes seemed to be wrong.

Actually I've noticed this too... Win7 64x, some times right after launching a scenario it crashes to desktop. Reloading the scenario usually works.

I haven't had this issue, and I'm also using Win7 x64.

Also working fine for me on Windows 7 x64.

I've had the same problem, and was assuming it was because dx7 was still linked to the old orbiter session. Same fix works here too, just reload the scenario.

Does it still crash in a clean install for you? This may be just another case of a buggy add-on CTDing Orbiter. i.e., the CTD is not necessarily caused by Windows 7. If it doesn't crash in a clean Orbiter installation, that points to a buggy add-on (or add-ons).

Yes. Clean install will still cause the occasional CTD, so will using one of the default scenarios. Because the fix is so easy to do (reload Orbiter) I've just ignored it.
Win 7 64-bit here too, btw.
