I've tried it (for the first time) in Orbiter 2010 the other day and it would not load for me at all. The application crashes as soon as it tries to load.

I've tried it in Orbiter 2006, thinking it might just be something in the version change. Same problem.

Here is the Orbiter.log entry -
Code:
Finished initialising world
>>> ERROR: No vessel class configuration file found for:
---------------------------------------------------------------
>>> ERROR: Spacecraft\spacecraft
>>> [Vessel::OpenConfigFile | .\Vessel.cpp | 252]
---------------------------------------------------------------
>>> TERMINATING <<<

I have SpaceCraft3 and it's patch installed, along with Multistage2 and it's patch. Those are always the first things I install.

I run O-2010 on an Intel Core2Duo running Windows 7 Professional 64bit, fully updated.

After this not working, I tried it at home on my Pentium 4 running Windows XP Pro/SP3 32bit, with O-2006. Same problem, same point in the loadup, and same error in the log.

I verified SC3 by re-applying it and every single file asked me to over-write. Ditto with the patch. I then re-installed the 10p package (all on my 32 bit XP system with O-2006), and the same error resulted.

I'm stumped. Can anyone help?

I'm just shooting in the dark here, but... There are two versions of this, one is for Orbiter '05,

[ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3026"]SpacePlane 2.0[/ame]

This is SpacePlane 2.0, which is an updated version, and for Orbiter '06. And it seems to work with Orbiter '10. The only problem I've encountered is that the scenarios all start located in the grass instead of on the runway. Easy enough fix with the scenario editor.
Also don't forget to activate the ReleaseMFD from the modules tab before you start.
Happy Orbiting!

Thanks Phantom,

I too have found the Space Plane 2.0 to work, but they seem to be different designs. I like the look of the ExSP (10p).

Also, every scenario with the 2.0 starts with that triple winged launcher. Cool idea, I don't know what it's based on though (tech-wise), whereas it appears the ExSP needs to be strapped to something else, be it the TX Winged Launcher (which is also awesome, just WAAAAY too powerful), or Energia or the new DG launchers, or something like that.

10P works with Orb2010 (TX installed), with two exceptions...
a: the Ship ist not docked to the TX in scenario 10P TX Launch
b: after undock from ISS in 10P at ISS, the engines do not work (but ONLY in this scenario)

After my last post, I actually got to thinking "I don't have TX installed", so thought maybe I should try it anyway. I had been trying the docked to ISS .scn in the hopes of avoiding lack of TX issues.

However, I just installed the TX, verified that it is present and working, and when I try either the 10p at ISS, or on TX, it still crashes Orbiter and leaves this at the very end of the log file -

Code:
>>> ERROR: No vessel class configuration file found for:

:(

Well that did it. Thank you! :cheers:

I had assumed that SC3 was an all encompassing upgrade, like Service Packs are. lol
The main problem is the file name. If the ship was built for Spacecraft, then Orbiter blindly ignores all files other than Spacecraft.dll, even Spacecraft3.dll.

You need to install Spacecraft. Not Spacecraft 2 or 3, Spacecraft 1. :thumbup:

Learn something new every day! I had no idea either. This may explain why I have been having some problems with new installs.

Would it work to simply copy and rename spacecraft3 as "spacecraft" and "spacecraft2?" Or should we just download and install separately?

I doubt that would work. It's safer to just install all three.

Computer programs have a special way of not working when something isn't quite right. :lol:
