Dreams about orbiter

I had a non-orbiter related one last night.
The outer planets were disappearing one by one so we built a huge rocket to escape the sun and get to another stars habitable zone and i woke up at ignition :(

Lol, all of your dreams remind me of my non-orbiter aerospace dreams. I had one when I was flying this inflatable raft (idk either) outside of my elementary school. For some reason I was wearing a Shuttle ACES. I was flying towards a swing pole, when my friend shout "BAILOUT!" Of course, all 3 or 4 of my passengers jumped out except me. I fell off when I crashed. I also had a dream when I was signed up to launch on a Soyuz, but it was flying out of O'Hare in Chicago. I've also had several Space Camp related dreams, but I need to get off. I'll have to get back to everyone on those.

I wish I could have an Orbiter dream... What have you guys been doing to get them...? Come to think of it, I haven't had a dream I remember for a while. Maybe a non-stop 24 hour Orbiter day will fix that...

i had a dream that i spent my life savings on an old rocket so that I could go into orbit. I was really really excited about the whole thing and was working with NASA as a private owner of the rocket. Then during a test of some sort the rocket had a really bad failure and was deemed unfit for flight of any kind. I was devastated because my whole life savings and my only chance at going into space were ruined. I remember the staff telling me that they were sorry. In response to this I was experiencing alot of mixed emotions, knowing that it was better than me dieing in the launch, but also feeling like they needed to compensate me somehow because they have so much money and budgets and always more chances. I on the other hand had no more chances, no more money and no more rocket. It was some like routine for them, and catastrophe for me!

I also once had a dream that I was on the moon and having trouble with my suit. Then I realized I wasn't wearing a space suit. Then I realized I was dreaming and the dream was over.

As far as I know I've only had one Orbiter dream-- I dreamed I was kissing some girl in a Gemini capsule as we zipped out towards the moon. Odd. I've always had very disorganized/absurd dreams, so this one was actually fairly normal.

I remember once playing Rome: Total War for so long that when I layed down and closed my eyes, images of the game were pretty much burned into my brain. It's all I thought/dreamed about that night. After that I decided to cut back on my gaming and take a walk before bed...

sounds like the end scene of a 007 movie

I had a dream that I was going to go into space. I don't think it was Orbiter related though.

Half my dreams end before the exciting part. I didn't even get to blast off!

Not one about Orbiter, but about spaceflight: saw the STS-125 crew walking in front of my house .

When I was younger I had some strange things happening when I woke up in the early morning hours: Even while completly awake, I saw asteroids flying by in front of my eyes. This usually forced me from sleeping, as the only way to stop it was to put on lights. Well, you don't want them so close to your ship.... I can remember one really big one that caused my heart to beat as fast as a pulsar. Early version of this had planets with horrible faces on them...

GODLIKE if you were riding top-down!

But... there isn't any down in space!

Some... pretty... freaky... stuff... going on there...

I have had a dream wave last week, when I was testing manual landings, with AMSO. Being of those dreams that you have just before waking up and when I wake up still thinking about it. It was about the seconds before the landing, watching from the window y. .. surprise, I have no data, that is, I can see a screenshot of AMSO panels.

I remember having one about a parachute simulator. You know, those ones where you get in a big tubular cylinder and they blow air up at you and you basically flail around for a while.

Well. I had just contacted mission control and they said there was a brownout in the city and power would be running low, and I unzipped and pissed my way around the thing. Like a urine-powered RCS.

I once had a screaming planets dream, with a blue jupiter-like planet filling the entire sky from horizon to horizon and yelling obscenities. The damned thing just wouldn't let up, it kept howling and bellowing all frakking night. I put triangular shaped batteries into my telescope and the howling turned into a frightful shriek.

The delirium went on for hours and hours it seemed like. And nothing would make it go away.

One of my favorite dreams was being stuck in an Apollo capsule bound for Venus with Ripley and Wilma Deering as my crew. Needless to say, some "affections" developed...

I think the only dream I ever had was back in 2007 when AMSO was coming out and I dreamed that I downloaded a new version of orbiter that had local light sources and flew a awesome space shuttle night mission.

Sure enough.. come August 2010..

All my dreams end that way. Whether it's christmas, going to space, or anything fun. I really need to take up lucid dreaming

One of the best dreams related to Orbiter and sci/fi I ever had was this: I had just bought tickets for the maiden voyage of the Pieces of Eight and I was very much excited. The ship left Earth's orbit, and I was off for Pluto. Of course, Ripley always appears in my dreams (without an alien, thank goodness!), so we shared a cabin, and as we neared Saturn, the artificial gravity disengaged. We were drifting in the room's cabin when Ripley started to take off her uniform....

I;ve had one, and posted it in the orbiter addiction thread though, the one where I plugged a PS3, a Super-PC, and a Holodeck together to play orbiter/freelancer (yeah, I was shooting alien's crafts with the DGIV and then reentred just like you should in Orbiter)

I only had a single dream about orbiter, it was a few months ago (I keep records of my dreams) - I was on some generic spacecraft, on a lunar transfer orbit. I counted my fingers and checked my watch (a lucid dreaming exercise I reinforce by doing it all the time during the day), only to discover I had eight fingers and the watch had five hands. However, instead of recognising that I was in a dream, I attributed it to radiation poisoning and decided to ram the Moon.
That has to be the best story ever. I shared it with my friends at school today, and apparently you're their hero know.
