Good point, too. If you (Jstowe) can make meshes, then a Starcrafty surface base would be an excellent place to start, as it requires no coding at all, only meshes, textures and a bit of copying and pasting from CFG files. It's good practise too, both for meshing in general and getting better with the whole Starcraft aesthetic. Also, there are alternatives to DLL modules to those of us who aren't big on C++. :tiphat:

If by that you mean if you can ask specific questions about code you wrote and that doesn't work, sure you can bring them here when they pop up.

If by that you mean that someone could write your code for you, there's no such luck. You'll have to learn it.

That's a common joke and a play on the fact that a lot of German words sound like English words, or what is commonly (at least, where I come from it's commonly) called "pseudo-german".

Exactly. Many goals of him are essentially rewriting orbiter, so I thought warning him about the consequences is due. Start with small steps, because many small steps get you ahead faster as many big leaps (Chinese cultural revolution pun intended).

He can do the big stuff only, if he learned to do the small stuff - and he learns the small stuff faster by starting there.
