I came across this a few nights ago in my stumbling, and the game itself sounds like it could be awesome. I won't go into a lot of detail, but it is basically what Spore would have been like if it was realistic. It is completely open-source, so there is a large variety of ideas. I would just pass it off as vaporware, but they have a few prototypes out.

I would say it is overly ambitious, but they seem very organized, and are not rushing things. Anyway, just thought it may interest some of you here. I will certainly be keeping my eye on it!

Seems interesting >:D

I'll try it after I wake up!

EDIT: Hmm, can't seem to find the prototypes, any help or linksys? (like links, but it's systematic)

EDIT: Never mind, found a prototype, trying it out now...

I'll tell you now, the prototypes aren't much. Mainly proof of concept, but its better than nothing.

Looks interesting, I agree though, seems vapourware.
Speaking of prototypes, anyone play the Spore prtototypes they released?

Darren

i played... judging from those i REALLY expected the game would be more than what they turned out...

quite a shame really...

that's one of the reasons i started the campaign to make spore better.... to no avail, i fear

Spore prototypes? What?
Before they actually released Spore they released several prototypes on the Spore website. One was a mock-up of Space Stage and another was testing water physics which didn't even get used.

Darren

Edit: There were a few more but I can't remember off the top of my head.
