Would be more interesting if this didn't happen to all presidents in recent history one day. It is more funny that the general, who tries to sell the story in his book, disagrees with another general on which day this happened.

Basically, for four months or so Clinton couldn't have launched Americas Nuclear weapons if he choose to do so. I suspect the truth is a little more complex as some weapons would auto launch in the case of the nuclear obliteration of the Western world.

Not a major story and the loss of the codes wouldn't have been a major problem. The aide should have been fired for not following procedures as soon as he realised he didn't have the codes.

"Kuruc and Turks!" - its an even older Meme from southern Germany and Austria from pre-Internet days. And since it is old, it should be known to you, shouldn't it?

Its used as generic curse, and contrary to some explanations you can find in the Web 2.0, it is no curse against Muslims (Turks)... Kuruc had been Christian rebels. Both Kuruc and Turks performed raids against villages in that region of Europe until eventually defeated. It would be like shouting "Taliban!" into the sky today.

Not clintons fault. The aide that had the codes should have followed procedure when he lost them. This aide wouldn't be some regular joe but a fully paid up member of Americas armed forces so he should have known a thing or two about procedures.

Anyway, what do you expecting clinton to do? Ask the aide for the nuclear launch codes every five minutes? That would have the CIA scrambling to find a suitable grassy knoll.... :lol:
