Hello,

I'm a newbie to the field of Aerospace Engineering and would like to investigate the ability of using Orbiter for virtual prototyping with the concept of Computational Fluid Dynamics.

Anyone already investigate this?

Thanks.

Short and simple: Orbiter is the wrong tool for this. Once you have data from the Fluid Dynamics model, you can include it in Orbiter, but Orbiter is about orbit mechanics and can be used greatly for mission level prototyping, but spacecraft system prototyping in Orbiter is not its strong side, other tools are better for it.

What orbiter really does great: Once you have a prototype, you can already visualize it, and test it to the maximum in a real-time simulation, for example testing flight plans or alternate procedures or, in a limited way, crew ergonomics.
