Well I just got back from vacation a few days ago. I made a stop by KSC to see the shuttle and the VAB. It was a cloudy day but I still got some good pictures. I could easily imagine a Delta-Glider or XR2 taking off. Its strange seeing something in real life after just seeing pictures of it for a long time. It made me wish I could get some High Res textures for Orbiter that looked just like it! I went to the Visitors center and saw the multiple rockets there and the might Saturn V rocket. I rode the shuttle launch simulator which was pretty cool but could had of been better. I wish I could see the launch but a 3 day drive doesn't sound to good again. I have attached the pics.

Thanks for posting the pics and glad you enjoyed your trip. I visited KSC for the first time just about two months ago while visiting family and I thought it was a great experience as well.

Some more:

I take it someones dad on this forum put this T-38 into place but I forgot who.

LC-39B(Before it got demolished)

Crawler at LC-39A

P.S: Some images are in low quality because of the other camera I used.

My pleasure :tiphat:.More pics:

Shuttle Explorer, very detailed inside(those photos to come later)

VAB with LCC

LC-39A from inside tour bus, back view

LC-39A, side view

It's great to see all that cool stuff at KSC. Ever since I was little, I had wanted to see a Shuttle launch, but never got the chance to. I hope LC-39A and the VAB will be used for another manned program in the near future.

I sure hope they get more support from congress. We need a president who understands the importance of space exploration.

That was me (about 3 or 4 years ago). I'll try to post some pictures of that on this forum, too.

Same deal, just a couple days after you.
The VAB is big o.o

Awesome. I went to KSC a few years ago and saw STS-114 on the pad.

You're all so lucky. There are many members here (including myself) that live pretty much on the other side of the world >.<
