Gaming Hielor's Minecraft Server

Yes he is, You can see the massive cobblestone dock structure on the dynamic map.

Due to some real life circumstances, it may be a while before I'm back on the server. I'll still be here on the forums though :)

Do any of the residents of Surda have any objections to me building a stop on my mine cart tunnel there?

I don't have any particular objection, would be great even. But the one who would have the real say would be Woo, he is the Lord of Sudra

I would like to claim this area ( see image ) in order to do there my industrial constructions. It will be connected to the blue line. The construction will begin in summer as well as my house. The area will be increased when I finish the blue area.If there is any problem with other properties let me know :)

ok, I'll dig a tunnel and set up a temporary station on the edge of the settlement.

Does anyone know if it's possible to broke trees with pistons or other systems like melons?

Yea...

The SMP is so glitched it's hardly worth playing, the game has so many bugs it would make other programmers cringe and the amount of randomness in the game to compensate for Notch's mathematical knowledge is absurd... but at least we have Iron Golems.

Seriously, what's with the randomness in this game? Enchanted weapons deal random damage, armor absorbs random damage, looting, unbreaking and other enchantments are random. And at the same time, every Zombie goes straight towards you, Skeleton hits every arrow, Creeper always walks to your left when it approaches you... what, did you run out of Random?

Fix the game, Jeb!

Uh...what?

What exactly is so glitched about SMP to make it hardly worth playing? There are a more than a dozen people regularly using my server that seem to disagree with you...

What's wrong with enchanted weapons doing random additional damage? Plenty of games have this. Notably, though, this is backwards from the traditional D&D method where the weapon does random damage and the enchantment is static. Still--weapons doing a random amount of damage is in pretty much every game.

Plus, of the 10 available enchants for swords and bows, only 4 of them have random effects.

Armor does not absorb a random amount of damage. From minecraftwiki: "Each armor point gives 8% damage reduction, with a maximum of 80% damage reduction with 10 armor points."

As for looting/unbreaking/etc being random--see the paragraph above about weapon enchantments. It's a fairly standard game mechanic for things to have a chance to give you something.

The one case that I think there is too much randomness is in the enchanting table itself. It's an absurd and stupid minigame with worse odds to get what you want than a roulette table.

And at the same time, every Zombie goes straight towards you,
What's wrong with that?

Skeleton hits every arrow,
Only if you suck at dodging.

Creeper always walks to your left when it approaches you...
Funny, I'd never noticed this, but so what?

Fix the game, Jeb!
Or you could not clutter up the thread with rants that have little basis in reality. If you don't like the game, don't play it--it's that simple.

I would like to know if redstone clocks stop when there is not anyone in the forum. And can dispensers throw wheat in order to feed animals?

A) I think that should only happen if the server restarts
B) No.

Redstone stops when there is no one in range.

Do you know how many blocks?
From http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Chunks:
In multiplayer mode, a grid with a default radius of 10 (for a total of 21x21 or 441 chunks) is loaded around each player and sent to the player by default, although this radius can be configured to be between 3 and 15, usually only lowered with a poor connection home server.
If the setting hasn't been changed from the default, it would be around 168 (±8) blocks.
