Problem Ariane 6 launching NERVA2, orbiter 2010P1

I have an interesting problem. I have set up the NERVA2 as the payload for an Ariane 6, and every time i go to jettison the nerva, the thing disappears. I can select it, but the orbital parameters include things like NaN, which means to me that I dont have an orbit.....

Does anyone know what the hell is going on, and possibly how to correct it?
 
Ariane 6 uses Vinka's mulitstage if my memory's correct. Multistage has some problems in 2010 - have you installed this - [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4661"]http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4661[/ame]?

Hopefully not, as this could be the quickest fix.
 
Does the view from the generic cockpit of the Nerva appear that you've jumped out into the infinite void?
If so I had a similar problem with my current rocket. It may have to do with how things are defined in the .ini file. Specifically the Module=XXX tag in the [PAYLOAD_1] section.
Where Module=Spacecraft\Spacecraft3 (or whatever).

I am not at home ATM, but i dont remember NERVA using spacecraft3.

I will check that when I am off for lunch.

To answer your question, yes, the NERVA is spinning frantically in what appears to be DEEP space.

Yeah, that killed the disappearing stages from the Ariane.

Should I just use another launcher? does the Ariane 6 just pose too many problems for 2010p1?
 
The A6 is still a very good launcher, but it just takes a bit to customize it.
It's just a matter of calling for the right module in the .ini file, notice I used "(whatever)" inmy previous post. I don't have a Nerva, but somewhere in the download should be the module or config file that you'll need to point to in the .ini.
I'm going to be away from my Orbiter computer for a few days, otherwise I think i could hook you up. I think the problem should be easy enough to fix though.

I have that file, its called NERVA2.ini, and its what I have in the ini for the Ariane 6.


I can launch other vehicles with the launcher, which lead me to think it was the Nerva.

Im at home, and I looked, and it appears that the Nerva IS spacecraft3. However, even with the correction to the .ini for the Ariane, i still get the same issue.

All looks good. Check that you have a corresponding NERVA.INI file that points to the NERVA2 mesh and check that you have the correct version of STAGE.DLL

I recently had to get the fixed version of stage.dll for the ariane not to disappear its jettisoned stages, so that SHOULD be taken care of.

I will check the nerva ini, but I can load the nerva into other scenarios, so I dont think that is the issue.
 
In your A6.ini change the following and see if that works.

These files work on my setup. Hope it works for you. Also, every time I release the payload I do it manually. The autopilot does not work for me when releasing payload.

The SCN you posted didnt work, but the NERVA2 thing did the trick on my current setup.
