Gaming Lunar Flight - A Fictional Lunar Module Simulation

Official Flight School Videos

I've recently produced 10 tutorial videos to teach new players about the various features and systems in Lunar Flight.

You can access the videos from the 'Flight School' Menu at the top of the page.

It's recommended you watch them in order first to last.

Here is a sample video:

I was thinking about it...

can you blow up stuff?

I was planning to have a mining element and still may work this into the game at a later date. Basically you would have a missile system that you use to blast open large rocks to expose minerals that you can then harvest and sell for cash.

The missiles have to be bought and you can only carry two at a time.

This is actually quite enjoyable! :) One has to be aware that it isn't a simulator, but rather the good old lunar lander on steroids, of course. Good work!

Yes its a 'fictional' simulator, make no mistake though the actual physics are realistic, proper units of scale and forces. Functional systems, for navigation and flight velocity vectoring. That's where a large part of the depth of the experience comes from, it requires true understanding of the forces at play and how to manipulate them.

I got this the other day (off Desura) but it drags my poor machine down into single digits FPS. Soooooo. While the wife isn't paying attention I think I may upgrade to a new computer (mine is about 7 years old). It runs OK on my daughters PC, but I still have to drop the graphics down a bit to make it run really smooth.
Very, very nice!

So, this is basically AMSO on both steroids and a heck load of stimulants? Sounds sweet.

Maybe if you cut out launching, docking, walking/driving on the moon, and re-entry/splashdown. It still looks good, but it is completely different than AMSO.

EDIT: Aww, it's 5 bucks. I don't have any money :(
As people here know, I don't normally moan about the activity of others, but maybe with the money that's made from sales, you could open your own forum and advertise it on there. It may be me, but personally... I think it is a little cheeky useing a hosted site for a FREE to use "same themed" simulator to promote your own PAYwares. Normaly I wouldn't say anything but you are charging for the software by all account, given a previous poster dissapointment. I just don't get a sense of fair play from it.

One the bright side... From your images, your domes look really good.

But it has its own forum, only I don't have an account there. I posted here about the multiplayer update a year after the last post was made, if someone was interested in it (just check the dates). :P

Anyway, I see nobody mentioned it earlier about the Mars update, so here it goes: it has a Mars map, too.

Upcoming update:
Finally a virtual cockpit for non-oculus-rift users.
