I wish i could watch Doctor Who. Sounds like an interesting show.

Try Amazon.com or even ebay if you're lucky.
No, that part is simple...
When Die Another Day went out, the 20th bond movie, i wanted to watch it.
But i couldn't even think about it until i watched all the first 19 bond movies, in order. Took a few months, mostly to hunt the tapes down.

Now look at Dr. Who and it's dozens of seasons - not a chance.
I suppose it's a kind of an OCD.

I only saw episodes from 2005 and on. Never saw Classic Who.
(I started watching Doctor Who in 2008, with the episode "Partners in Crime". I was just browsing the digital guide and decided to watch it.)

I would skip to the 2005 - present series as there are 106 missing/lost episodes (out of a total of 790 with an estimated running time of 15 days 4 hours) from the original series. so you can be forgiven for missing some.

Don't forget to tell them to color the ET in orange ^^

I never listened to this part of the soundtrack before, but this track is awesome:

especially the backing track.

Where did those color sequences with the first doctor come from??

Some of those clips were from the movie "The Five Doctors". [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Five_Doctors"]The Five Doctors - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

In this (mostly) Richard Hurndall plays the part of the first Doctor as William Hartnell had previously passed away.

@ Artlav, watching the Doctor doesn't require watching them all in sequential order (as already mentioned, it's impossible due to lost/missing/destroyed episodes). Since he's a time traveller anyway, he could show up in one form, leave and show up the next day in an earlier incarnation. To paraphrase the 4th Doctor (while searching in his wardrobe and finding a fishing rod) "Ah! This takes me back... Or forward... Hard to keep track of these things sometimes."

The newly discovered prime number is 2 to the power of 57885161 minus 1 and is 17425170 digits long. :P

We're very similar in that respect, but it really isn't such a problem with Doctor Who. It's not the kind of continuity pr0n you see in american comic books. Oftentimes stuff is retconned without loosing a word about it.

The new rebooted series is quite a good place to jump in. sure there's some continuity nods in there, but nothing that requires you to actually have seen any older seasons. It's also kind of a running gag that the Daleks go extinct in almost every encounter with the Doctor...

Kinda like Kenny, only in a much more interesting, intellectual, and engaging way.

Well, sometimes. That time where Donna goes all Timelordy and supersmart at once and the Doctors unexpected "leftover twin" from the last regeneration rigs the whole fleet to blow up... somehow... he didn't even use a sonic screwdriver... Anyways, I found that kinda lame, and very, very confusing.
Rose going on a rampage and killing them all after an overdose of time-vortex was at least a very emotional moment, but this one was just weird.

And of course there's the first, classic extinction (although chronologically the last, I think, being several billion years in the future), where they all die of radiation underdose
