So Windows 7 decided to destroy itself, and now I'm running Ubuntu because I had the disk lying around. Time to relearn the computer...

Nevermind! Went out and bought a computer! A good one! ヽ(°ヮ。)ノ

Toshiba Satellite, AMD A-10 @ 2.1GHz (4 cores), ATI Radeon HD 8610, 8GB RAM, Windows 8. I've never owned a computer anything like this. It's pretty awesome.

Win8 is aggravating for now, but it's gowing on me. Lots of pretty cool UI changes, and generally much smoother appearance.

Win8 is currenty being revamped to make it into a super-Win7. The Start button will be returning. No idea when it comes out, though.

Fun fact: People who think space exploration is a waste of money are often found to be avid watchers of "Toddlers and Tiaras." ;)

And global warming correlates with the number of pirates.
Both kinds of them.

Russia has Spetznaz, England has the SAS, Canada has JTF2, and the good ol' USA has SEALS:

 Navy SEALs are the best out of all of em.

I had my first flying lesson last Sunday in a Cessna 152. Man that was exciting!

I was surprised by all of the turbulence. Orbiter never shakes around like that!

Heh, how far do you plan on going as far as liscenses?

Eh? You mean like the places where there are seams in the textures on the ground? I never noticed anything odd around there, although that might explain something SE mentioned about a previous flight to Wideawake International...

Oh good Lord that flight was terrible. I still cannot figure out how that happened.

I find this to be completely correct. I actually know a few people just like that.

Nah mate, SAS first then Spetznaz.
The seals are fourth or fifth.

Printing a 3d printer in a couple days. :woohoo:

Printing a 3d printer in a couple days. :woohoo:

Then print a printer that prints other 3d printers that print more 3d printers that print more 3d printers that print more 3d printers that print more 3d printers that print more 3d printers that print more 3d printers...

Then make some calculations based on the available amount of matter on Earth so that the last generation of 3d printers produce images of the almighty :probe:

Then you will have done well my friend

:hailprobe:

Except that you would still need to buy the motors, the chips and PCBs, the heater, nuts and bolts, etc.

You can get rid of the metal parts if you also have a laser sintering metal printer, but then you'd need some sort of a printer that can print a laser.

To make motors you'd need an assembly robot, which would need even more things to print.
And don't even start on home-grown IC lithography to make the control chips.

In short, no Von Neuman machines until atomic/subatomic matter printer tech happens.

ERMAGHERD ! Printerception !!!! Run away from the stack overflow ! :bailout:

Another one, or (somehow?) the first one?
Which kind of it?
I convinced my college to let me use their multithousand dollar 3d printer to print the plastic parts of a reprap.

Remember when Firefox updates didn't come out monthly and included more than a logo change?

I'm getting old...No, actually every second it's the oldest me that has ever existed on Earth.:hmm:
