Hello,

I have re-installed Orbiter 2010 several times because my addons keep getting messed up whenever I install "ISS A to Z V3 (This:[ame="http://orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=5633"]US ISS A to Z v.3[/ame]). I install pretty much everything correctly after reading the manuals and whenever I try to run their included scenario (ISS A to Z), I get a "Stopped Responding" error every time.

I just want to be able to fly recent soyuz missions (like -02m, -03m etc) and approach a realistic looking space station (the way it looks right now). I know it is kind of a broad thing to help me with but I have been trying to get it to work several times.

Thanks so much in advance.

For tracking of add-ons; have you taken a look at any of the "Mod Enablers"? I use the Jonesoft Mod Enabler myself (JSGME). It makes managing Orbiter (or many other games) add-ons much easier.

I've gotten ISS A-Z to run, but I don't remember the specific order that I installed the add-ons. I basically started with a clean Orbiter (added sound, UMMU, SC3 and Multistage). Then used JSGME to add the dependencies in the order specified by Thortons ISS and then the A-Z. It worked, but it was rough on my FPS (6-10 FPS, but it looked fantastic!).

The "plain" Orbiter '10. I keep forgetting about the D3D9. If I'm able, I'll try again tonight, so I can nail down an order for the installation that'll be functional.

D3D9Client requires the symbolic links to be in place because ISS A to Z relies on spacecraft3.dll. Without the links the Orbiter will stop responding

Alrighty then... With a vanilla Orbiter-10 installation...

Installed sound, followed by SC3.
Then installed JSGME.

Using JGSME I installed Thorton's ISS, David's Shuttle Fleet, followed by Don's ISS A-Z.

Ran Orbiter and selected the ISS A-Z (not the "new" array's) and it ran fine.

Once again frame rate is awful, but D3D9 works. But I need to figure out how to set up the sound and config folders to work with this. Found out where MS hid the command prompt, but I need to find out how to run it as administrator.

That's all for now... I've got to go shower and catch the premier of season "7" of Doctor Who. But, ISS A-Z works fine, and I can't reproduce your "stopped responding" error.

I'll keep working on it, just not tonight...

Just "added" D3D9r1 and figured out how to run the command prompt as administrator to get sound working. All I can say is "Oh... Wow". It's beautiful, and at 24 frames per second instead of 5.

So there you have it. The ISS as she looks currently, so hopefully the install order should be something like this...

Sound, SC3
Proton 2.2
Soyuz FG/U 1.2
Shuttle Fleet (most recent is 4.8r2 I think)
Shuttle Fleet 4.5 service pack
ISS 3.2
ISS A-Z

If you want to mess around with the D3D9 graphics client I'm too much a a newbie to offer any advice for it, but there is a pretty good development thread that should help you out.

Thanks a lot guys!

It works now, but I need to know where I can find a scenario of maybe STS-133-5 and TMA-02m or something of that nature with this new ISS. I tried editing the .scn file but I got the "Stopped Responding" error when i tried to open the scenario.

You should NOT install the shuttle fleet 4.5 service pack if you install the most recent shuttle fleet (V4.8 R2). You will lose features (the service pack is NOT necessary).

Post the scenario and maybe we can find the problem.

Scenario I tried to make for TMA-02M. Just copied and pasted stuff into it. As you can see I have no clue what i'm doing.
