You may have seen my signature featuring rocket configurations.
configurations.png

These are actually the configurations of the M-II launch vehicle.

M-II is a medium-heavy launcher similar to Japan's H-IIA, but with a liquid oxygen/kerosene first stage.

The four liquid oxygen/kerosene engines provide a total of 3939 kN of thrust.

edit: updated with Negi-5 launch vehicle

Cool . You should replace the images in your sig with the Orbiter rockets as you complete each one.

Yep, because I don't know anything about coding. But I'll do testing on Velcro.

Well if you do decide to include velcro, I would appreciate it. Velcro is a lot like IMS; its just a nice utility on its own, but the more parts you get to play with, the better.

My problem with velcro is that you can't configure the exhaust textures. Also, no particles unless it's solid fuel.

Its a pain isnt it? Having those giant clouds of exhaust is the coolest part of having a launch vehicle.

Really nice meshes.

Keep up the good work

Which meshing program do you use? Looks very good!

Estimated lift capacity is almost 9 metric tons to somewhere in the mid-20s.

(using the Silverbird calculator. However, you can't have two types of boosters (2 LRBs and 2 SRBs), so 2 LRBs is about 22 tons.)

Well I'm not that great at meshing. For example, I don't know how to model the "innards" of a rocket engine.

Well, we're not engineers here, so it doesn't have to be accurate: It just has to fly! :P

I can provide you with some pointers for internal geometry if you want accuracy, though.

Do you mean all those "plumbing" I made for my rockets? It's quite easy. Just some cylinders lofted along the path.

Here is wireframe to show the base idea:

If that's the turbomachinery of an RD-170, loru, it's a little short. I don't have a pic right now to prove it, but I know it's at least twice that length...

Yeah - I made some compromises as I couldn't find blueprints - just poor quality pics from various angles. I made it to look good enough in orbiter to represent this engine.

(I'll probably just add textures for detail)

Oh god it was good until I look at the "basic colour" and then I have this struck on my mind "this is going to be another miku themed vechicle again wouldn't it"
