Could be a fascinating? story, think I'll keep an eye on this one.

I would guess most of the stolen art/gold is recovered or never will be, but an actual train is something I would never have thought of.

Well, that may be going back to the original owners? That is not that simple. For example, a lot of the stolen art and gold of the Nazis, that had been declared lost after WW2, reappeared in Russian museums lately.

As for bunkers, I would say only the top Nazis had the means for really serious pillage and plunder(Hitler seems not be interested?) with Goering being the best at it?
A friend of mine has an interest in 1930's German SLR camera, specifically Leitz?(I am seeing him next week-end, so I'll get an update...). He has about 50+ at the last count, and is cutting down! He refurbishes them and puts them on e-bay, quite the little trader.
He did tell me that after WWII the factory and employees was moved to the then USSR and rebuilt and continued production. He doesn't collect these, considering them "not originals" We have had a few discussions about the morality of handling "stolen goods"?

In fact I'm not sure its a SLR, I seem to remember it had a sort of periscopic viewfinder?
Well, if the viewfinder looks through the main objective, its a SLR.
Or a transparent mirror. But I guess they didn't have those yet.
