Thanks for the answer.
It's already usefull for rendez vous to have the BPV on +Z axis, tracking the earth

I think we can track other Orbiting "Spacecraft", couple with Spec 33 Rel Nav, Star tracker RR Radar.

On the picture, Tgt Id 1 is : "other orbiting vehicle"

I stand corrected.

How could you change the Body Vector (ITEM8)? If I enter ITEM8+1 EXEC in OPS202 nothing happens, the TGT ID stays 2 (center of earth)

Nothing happens because currently we only support TGT ID 2.

Your tiling is lateral, it should be vertical.

Small questions again :)

1)For the Spec 34 program, I read somewhere we need to specify the target (ISS) somewhere in the scenario file, can you tell me where ( and is it possible to specify other target like Hubble or another satelitte? )

Edit: Think I found my answer

Can you confirm me we need those lines in scenario to have a target in Spec 34?
I love this program, works very well when phasing, relative Inc,etc are properly done.

2) Still with Spec 34, can you confirm me that the T2 solution to null relative velocity is not working currently?

3) I was working on single engine TAL, and I was very positively surprise to see that SERC is working :thumbup:
Is Yaw steering also available ?

4)Almsot there with docking,
yhgqLD.jpg

I saw we can click on RR radar switch, is it working (EL/AZ,etc) or always always showing zero?

5)I saw in STS 127 scenario ISS docking that ISS was in perfect position in its LVLH frame for TORVA, i was wondering if you can explain me how did you do that if you remember?
Is it some special attitude to put into Scenario file?

AROT maybe?

Thanks for your time ;)

I'm not familiarized with that display but looking at the code, to define a target you have to add a parameter called "TARGET_VESSEL" followed by the vessel's name.
In the scenario file it should look like this:
Code:
@SUBSYSTEM SimpleGPCSystem
  @BEGINSOFTWARE StateVectorSoftware
  TARGET_VESSEL "name_of_target"
  @ENDSOFTWARE
 ....other blocks....
If the StateVectorSoftware block already exists you just add the TARGET_VESSEL parameter.

I remember reading here that only one solution was being calculated? Maybe it is that?

No, you'll have to do it manually. And even SERC is far from good IMO... and it doesn't use the correct thrusters.

You can use the Ku-band antenna in radar mode and the current range and range rate will be displayed on panel A2. Currently no data is feed into the GPCs for navigation.

If you want to change the attitude of the ISS in the image above, you can start the sim paused, go to Scenario Editor and rotate the ISS until it's the way you want it (you'll have to eyeball it). Save the scenario, and you can then use it, or you can copy the ISS attitude data from the new scenario back to the old.

Ok thank you :)

Alright for Spec 34, I will put those lines with target vessel in the scenario.
As you said, I think just the first T1 solution is calculated.
Anyway, in real life, they don't use T2 so no problem :)
Its a very useful tool.
During last orbit before rendez vous, I tried to follow Nasa FDF for NC TI and MC burn, and it allows to do be quite close from NASA stuff

SERC is still ok, slow with roll, but it helps a lot to decrease cross range.

You can use the Ku-band antenna in radar mode and the current range and range rate will be displayed on panel A2. Currently no data is feed into the GPCs for navigation.

Looks great
Looking forward to try that during final phase of docking.

Additionnal question, Is Star Tracker and COAS Operationnal?
Talking about feeding GPC with RR Radar/Star tracker, you plan on doing Spec 33 Rel Nav ?
I just read a Nasa Workbook about Navigation and Kalman Filter for the Propagated/Filtered State vector, Rel Nav etc, it looks really deep.

Alright for ISS, so I will save and copy the attitude of ISS that you did in STS 127 docking ISS scenario, it looks perfect !
TORVA, here I am

Sorry for all those questions, too much curious :D

Currently the STs and the COAS don't work. As for getting the radar data into the GPCs, we need to improve the DPS and the GPC software first.

OK, so no matter what I do, I can't get those top tiles to align properly with the side tiles.

do you have Michael Grosserg's original Columbia ?

This is a video by DaveS showing the use of RR

I think after re-orienting the ISS in the proper attitude you need to engage LVLH to keep it. If you use Thorton ISS and/or ISSAtoZ you won't have to bother about this since they have CMG installed (that will keep the station in the proper attitude)

Wow thanks for the video, I missed that one great :)

I am gonna look to Thorton and ISS to A to Z see how is it compatible with orbiter 2016
It can be nice to merge scenario and build ISS from the roots :)

Yes, I do, why?

Where do we stand on getting tickets 102 and 18 closed? These are related to the "RealRCS" system.

I'm already taking stuff of Dad's plate by working on 124.
BTW: 133 and 161 should be done.

It's the best tile config for the Columbia, that I have ever seen.
The problem is that our mapping is different to default Atlantis/Shuttle Fleet (Columbia is just the default Atlantis with a Columbia texture, even the original version, the mid and late versions just have the SILTS pod slapped on the vertical stabilizer).

Here it is: Default Atlantis mapping
