i need MFDs which can land the ship to base automatically,thx!
 
With Orbiter 2010, there is an AutoFCS that will land the shuttle on a runway hands free. Sadly it doesn't work in 2016.

To land on a pad on an airless body (or very thin atmosphere) there is [ame="https://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=5866"]PursuitMFD 2016[/ame] for Orbiter 2016.

Not sure what you are asking. Shuttle fleet gives you various model of the space shuttle
 
For propulsive landings I use Pursuit MFD 2016.

It can be used for belly-landers (like the Delta Glider) and tailsitters (like the Apollo LM).
 
But I guess for a flying brick like the Space Shuttle neither would auto land in 2016, right?
 
If the shuttle would hold a 35-40 degree AOA angle during approach(so..COG-shift), the GlideslopeMFD autopilot might be an option at least for an automated reentry.
However, landing must be then done then manually.
Doing automated roll-reversals was only possible using AUTOFCS, iirc.
 
IMHO what's really needed to deorbit and land the shuttle is an equivalent to GPC MFD.

You need energy and horizontal dist to runway info, to help calibrate your descent and approach.

Anyone know of a 2016 replacement or upgrade to GPC?

Would be cool if the data from GlideslopeMFD would be read out, to control the vessel's pitch.
This might be not helpful for the default shuttle, as there is no COG-shift code built-in.
However, for testing the XR-vessels might be good candidates, they offer an API, where i.e. the AOA can be remote-controlled. (I.e. feed by data from GlideslopeMFD).
GlideslopeMFD uses ModuleMessaging IPC-API.
So the chain would be:

GlideslopeMFD--->>>Messaging-API--->>>XR-VESSEL-API

Full automated reentry....only the HAC needs to be flown manually.

I am "dreaming" about this for a while now...but failed miserably due to my zero-programming-skills....:(
 
PursuitMFD, GlideslopeMFD, HoverMFD are all really good and helpful for landing.
 
This video shows a direct reentry and landing on Mars using HoverMFD in the final stages to land a heavy XR5. Fly it all the way up to the stall and then activate it as late as possible for minimum fuel consumption.
