Considering that it didn't tumble out of control and explode...yes.

It took some practice getting the location right, as well as some help from the hover thrusters.

However, pitch did eventually start to become uncontrollable once I got out of the atmosphere. I ended up jettisoning it and continuing to orbit. It splashed down halfway between Florida and Grand Bahama Island.
