It's just not fathomable. I knew there was idiocy going on in management, because there's idiocy going on everywhere all the time, but this degree of not just boundless, but outright malicious stupidity... I can't comprehend it. I try imagining the mind that comes up with something like that and then looks in the mirror and says "you're in the right line of work"... and I keep drawing blanks.

On a fixed monthly cost subscription model, that makes sense. On a per-token cost basis, it's a horrible idea. The AI industry only recently transitioned to a per-token cost.

That was definitely this year, so after the transition. While I've heard several takes on the topic, wikipedia claims that some are/were indeed using token expenditure as a metric for productivity. So yeah, horrible idea it is...
 
The RUD aside, the fight looks more like drunken humans fighting in medieval armor. I am pretty sure that the 700 year old text books ("Fechtbücher") on how to fight knights will also work great for those...

EDIT: On the other hand... teaching a humanoid robot to behave and fight like a true medieval knight would be fun.

On the other hand, they don't really care anymore who they fight... bystanders, chairs, walls, traffic signs, semis....
 
Also, they could ask the Spanish, how their solar power still produces power at night (though far less than during day).

What a boat-load of cherry-picking, BTW.

For example: The mid-atlantic half of the NE region does not contain any off-shore wind-parks, these are just outside the border of it in Rhode Island - just like most coastal on-shore wind parks. And 11 GW installed wind power on-shore is little for a region that is one third larger than Germany. We have 68 GW installed wind power on-shore alone - and 118 GW solar power. Our currently installed off-shore wind power is even almost as large that: 10.8 GW. And still we "only" get 60% of our electrical energy from renewables...)

And yes, the trick with renewables is not that these sources might not be enough on certain days. The trick is how many days you actually need the back-up and what kind of back-up energy sources are still economic then, if they are are not kept running 24/7 at 100% CF...
