New Versions of Orbiter?

tl8, I meant a module like Scenario Editor or TransX that computed crashes.

Like software crashes or XR, DGIV crashes,

Any way that is mainly up to a developer and there are a few generic modules around like computerex's

Would he gladly pay you back on Tuesday?

Showing my age here...

N.

Yes, he'd "gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today." (also showing my age)

LOL this joke is kind of like the line in the movie "The Money Pit," where they ask the remodelers when the house will be done, to which they always reply "Two weeks!" I think it ended up taking them like 3 months to remodel it, but you get the idea.....

"How long are you staying on mars for?"
"Two weeks..."
"Did you bring any fruits or vegetables?"
"Two weeks"
"?"
"Twooooo Weeeeeeeekssssssss!"

Argh! I've seen comments like this around the forum, what does it mean? To many Tuesdays have passed for it to be true!

Wild guess, but It might be from Star Trek: Generations (7th movie). Basically, they're in a pickle, the ship is new, lots of things havnt been delivered and installed.

Turns out they wont be installed until Tuesday ;)

As seen in the screenshots, the entire KSC area has been updated. The Launch pads and the shuttle have not. There isn't much reason to, it would only be more work for Martin when there is already SSU and the Fleet. It does support level 14 textures though!

What do you have now? my x1550 starts it, but with 3 fps. my intel 900 gives me 60 fps, and I can run the beta.

I downloaded the beta yesterday, and I must say it is very nice for a beta. The no sount bit bugs me though...

Have their been any releases on what the hardware requirements will be for the 2008 version?

No, but the current beta snapshot is actually less resource intensive than Orbiter 2006 because of the improved texture loading. This should be true of the final version as well, since both the physics and default graphics engines will be virtually the same as 2006, but with the graphics running as an external module that can be replaced by user made versions (which presumably will be more intensive).

Relativistic Physics

sorry in this is a stupid question but will the next version of orbiter(2008) simulate relativistic physics or will it just simulate newtonian (which in the curent version is more like Tychoeahn-Keplearian physics) like the 2006 version. exempla gratica: red and blue shifted spacecraft, mass increase near intense gravation(near black holes because in the 2008 version the sun will no longer be the center of the universe, hint hint) or approaching the speed of light; aswell as temporial distortions and light travil time delay.

thats all :beach:

No simulation of relativistic physics is planned. Physics will stay as it is now with some improvements.

Now now... Remember this:

-Orbiter, as a core program, is created by ONE man. (whom we all LOVE!)
-Orbiter is not his 'job'.
-It's FREE!

Anyone who is at all bemused by what you may deem to be a 'lack' of functionality or feature with any release must be quite unappreciative of the amount of work that must go into creating something as complex as Orbiter.
