The Apollo space program is one of my favorites, I just installed AMSO and am about to embark on a start to finish mission of Apollo 11.:rofl:I will be using Adam's tutorial "From the Earth to The Moon"http://orbiter-forum.com/showthread.php?t=1303 , so what can go wrong:rofl:, ok, ok, a lot can go wrong but hey, practice makes perfect. I tend to gravitate towards more difficult sims like the PMDG 747-400 in FSX, starting cold and dark. But for some reason the Project Apollo NASSP mod is just to early for me.

I added a poll to see which Apollo add-on is most popular, please vote and tell why.

I like NASSP for the realistic panels.(NASSP 7 should end up with almost 100% functionality) I love to mess with the systems and subsystems. :) AMSO is a good addon, and has awesome visuals, but isn't realistic or 'difficult' enough for me. ;)

Ditto. The emulated flight computer is awesome too.

NASSP because of the immersion the active panels provide. Before I figured out TLI's I would run Apollo 9 just to play with the panels of both ships without really having to use advanced skills like with IMFD or TransX

I fear it's sort of an apples/oranges comparison. Each has it's stronger and weaker points. That's the beauty of Orbiter, just because one comes along and busts out a neat addon it doesn't mean someone else can come along and attack it from a different angle, producing something a bit different. I honestly dont think it would be right to say one is better over the other. They're both fantastic in their own ways. I think one might be able to point out that NASSP has been in development longer, and is more complex, but does that necessarily make it better?

If you read the poll, you see that the question is "which do you prefer?"

Not looking for which is better just which is more popular and why, that is constructive and gives developers an idea of what people like, don't you think?

NASSP, I think I prefer it the most. It's indeed very immersive with it's systems that I still need to master! It's overall very impressive.

I think NASSP is more in depth and more interesting in the long run.
But for me, AMSO is better - it has ease of use, lots of detail and nice visuals.

Actually, I quite like both, but I prefer AMSO, because NASSP is too much learning effort for me, to get it done right. But that does not keep me from flying a reentry with NASSP from time to time.
