Looks like both Orbiter and SSM2007 are gonna have a new rival.
Its a Video game about the First Mars Landing, please note, it isn't Sci-Fi, or anything like that with Aliens. I found it interesting.

Looks Cool and realistic (only the rover sound is a bit too loud for mars atmosphere).

Looks interesting. If it's ever made for the 360 I'd pick it up.

But competition with Orbiter? Highly improbable.

No active firewall. Prolly some port redirection stuff.

Needs some improvements - my rovers like to fall on the side after driving over invisible rocks. Also the driving would be better if the keys would be accelerate/brake and the speed would be held until changing the settings.

It would be nice if Orbiter could support a graphical engine like this one. I like expecially astronauts movements, if UMMUs could move like these ones would be awesome.

There are some players online playing Rover XPL, that can also be downloaded there. But it requires a registration.

It would be a rival if it would be possible to run a complete mission including systems simulation, instrument panels and procedures all the way from the launch pad to Mars and back to Earth inlcuding splashdown. And of course the most important thing: everything without the need to use any time acceleration
