What music are you listening to?

Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers, Complete Concert at Club St. Germain, 1958.

Went to see Tannhäuser today. My first real exposure to Richard Wagner, and while sitting in the theater it occurred to me that some musical phrases I was hearing sounded very much like heavy metal.

Did some googling, turns out many people think the same.

Syd Matters - Obstacles, it stops me from overthinking and sink

Rage Against the Machine

My Morning Jacket (MMJ)—Circuital

I am listening to Aaron Benward's song 'Heal me'.
I love listening to music but I had never listened to Aaron's songs previously. I found his name while searching for American names for one of my project on http://www.babynology.com/american_babynames.html. I became his fan and have listened to almost all of his songs like I killed Jesus, Shout to the lord, Hope you won't forget.

A classic sea shanty, sung with verve...

Which I should mention is my own composition.

I think most fitting word to describe it would be monumental.

David Draiman has a great voice, but it tends to get buried in their more typical songs. Not to say that it isn't badass workout music, but I think it can bury the technical beauty of their individual contributions.
