Id love to be able to use the docking mfd. The orbit mfd isnt much help because of the negligible gravitational pull. And I can hardly tell where to point the ship do slow down my speed relative to phobos. Figured it out, just had to reference Phobos in the orbit mfd and adjust my trajectory...
My goal is for my hypothetical orbit to extend from the closest point of Earth to Jupiter. How do I do this?
Oh my, I realized why this is not possible, srry for post...
This isnt like hacking the sim right? like manipulating numbers in a configuration file? Why didnt the original killrot do this? Is it realistic? Im not trying to be mean. I appreciate the hard work you did. :) This is indeed very usefull.
I want to know about the wide range of experiences that orbiter offers. For a long time Ive just used Orbiter too rendezvous with planets and moons and dock with space stations. I know some addons allow the possibility to stow various payloads in your ship, such as satelites, and even other...
I didnt think it really mattered at the time, but now I just realized that when I did the retrograde burn, my perigee and apogee flipped so technically I did the rendezvoue at my apogee.
Thanks it worked! I didnt do the burn all the way but orbit after orbit, the DTmin and my distance from target shrank. Is it normal for the number of orbits remaining to stay at 4? After a while it went down 3,2,1,0 orbits remaining.
Okay so I have my apoaopsis and periapsis. When my target passes over my periapsis I check its altitude. Then I go to my apoapsis and do a burn to equalize my periapsis altitude w/ target altitude at that time. Planes are aligned already. Then I go to my periapsis and it just happens Im required...
Imagine this scenario: In order to get DTmin to 0 you must do a retrograde burn but this burn dips your orbit into the atmosphere. What do you do? This is for a rendezvous w/ a station that is at about 200 kilometers above the surface of Earth. Im in a space shuttle, so limited fuel is available
When the time comes to align with the small x in tranx in maneuvre mode, in space shuttle Atlantis, it can be very difficult because the space shuttles thrusters are aimed slightly upward. The only other method im familiar with so far is the synchronize mfd and the direct ascent on the launch...
missing dll
I get an error when trying to activate the module: vesselhooking.dll was not found. The module activates but I cant see the mfd in the mfd selection screen.
I'm just starting to make add-ons for Orbiter but I can't find any good tutorials on texturing 3d models. I also haven't been able to find good tutorials on how to make virtual cockpits. Please provide me with some links or any sort of help , thanks. :)
