Hi DB!
So XRs are statically linked :hmm:
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statically_linked_library "library code is stored within the executable rather than in separate files"
Did you make them that way when you "Compiled" them?
Is it possible to change a Program from Dynamically linked...
Orb drops a clue?
Orb my man... What you say here, does it apply to what I'm trying to do...?

Well spotted
I copied them so DWalker wouldn't complain about their absence, that's about it...

PS I found why that particular folder is so named in the first place...

Thanks Kuddel, I'll give it a try.

Hi Loru
Yep that's the limitation of 2010 vs 2006
I tried the DLL copy method, ran "Install\testvcr.exe" with Process Monitor http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645 in the background, watching everything it checked.

Hello
I'm trying to get Orbiter2010-P1 to run as a Portable App, and failing.
When a fresh Orbiter install is ran for the first time it checks 3 things:
Test 1: Directory structure
Test 2: C++ runtime libraries
Test 3: Checking DirectX
If Test 2: C++ runtime libraries fails, the check...

Hi Astro
Yeah I was disappointed it wouldn't work with the superb XR2 either
http://www.orbiter-forum.com/showthread.php?t=24219
I PM'd the author as suggested by Xyon, no luck
Try the Surface MFD instead, you might need a couple of DLLs for it to work, just drop em in...
New (old!) bug - D3D9ClientRC29 + XR2 + Orbitersound
Hello!
Just discovered the delights of Orbiter2010P1 and D3D9ClientRC29
Framerates in the 500s
Now I know these are old versions to the Beta Testers, but I've discovered a bug and was wondering if it's been squashed or...

Good man Xyon :tiphat:
I can stop messing around now I see there's a technical reason it is Not To Be :compbash2:
The bold Wraith hasn't been around in a while, I'll PM him and see if he's still alive or dead :sos:

Hello lads! :hello:
I just updated to
Orbiter 2010P1 and XR2 1.4
from
Orbiter 2006 and XR2 Version 1.0, Build Date: Oct 8 2008 (a combo I like so much I keep it on my pen drive :tiphat:)

JOY
Just wanted to add that as of this evening I don't need the chute to de-orbit the XR2 any more i.e. I can do it using Aerobrake MFD and the Pitch Autopilot mode
Seriously pleased about that :P

Thanks all! :tiphat:

OK here's a puzzler
Turns out the Earth is 8 light minutes away from the Sun
So where we see the Sun in the sky is actually where it was 8 minutes ago
Now... say I have a 'compass' which is attracted to the Suns gravity
If I use this compass in my back garden, will it point directly in the...
Sums work
That's more or less how it happened Tori, making a 90deg turn at low speed
May I ask where you found that formula? I could put it in Excel and save some tryre marks on an empty car park

Hi guys
I've been looking at vectors - the theory of
One thing I'd like to ask... If I have furry dice hanging from my rear view mirror, and notice they are now hanging at a 45 degree angle while turning around a corner, does that mean the down vector (gravity) is exactly equal to the side...
Me head is meltin'
OH YES!!
That is so what I'm talking about!
I don't know if you operate the XR2 (give her a spin man, only after you've given the manual the once-over mind you) but the fluid temp falls when pumped into the hot rad***

Hi tblaxland!
First of all... thanks for the reply!
Second... excuse me, What?
If I pump fluid @ 70C into something @ 300C the fluid will get warmer, right..?***
Or is this one of those situations where reality != common sense? Physics can do that...
