Well, for the name of my town, I'm pretty confident in Амкуи vs Амки.

Amqui is a native word (Miq'maq) meaning "where water is playful" or something along those lines. Anyway, it is pronounced "Ham-Ku-Ee", with the "Ku-Ee" without pause as one syllable, not "Ham-Qui" as in "Qui Pro Quo". Hence I tried to transcribe it Амкуи.

OK, You've persuaded me. It's hard to argue with a ninja armed with a stick :lol: Just replace 'а' with '-' in 'My town - my rules', and everything will be fine.

Well, 'я любил быть там' sounds veeery wrong in Russian. You could say 'Я любил бывать там', but it would be the same as 'I loved visiting the place from time to time'. To think of it, your variant seems correct grammatically, but it's utterly wrong stylistically. We just don't say this way

Вот и я наконец-то с вами. В орбитёре, давно стал "уверенным пользователем". Заочно со многими знаком, перечитывая форум вдоль и поперёк. Написать сюда побудил меня ньюанс новой версии 2016.
Как вы все поняли, наверно, переработана система отображения плиток поверхности небесных тел. Меня интересует, есть ли пошаговый мануал по использованию утилит для работ с плитками?
Есть на форуме некто Face, который ведёт ветку OT3 (Orbiter Tree Tools), но "выходить на яго с голыми руками", при моём английском, боязно - плохо поймёт чего от него хотят. Да и общение через переводчик со сложными терминами "ломает голову". В общем, хотелось бы понять общую концепцию или "правильный порядок действий" при добавлении своих плиток высокого разрешения, а так-же (что не менее важно) ньюансы по работе с редактированием рельефа.
Есть кто в теме?

Коллеги, а у всех версия 2016 выдает неправильную высоту поверхности? У меня на всех глайдерах и на шаттл А, на Марсе и Луне показывает от -1, до -2,5 км!

В IMFD достаточно просто установить желаемое время прибытия через, допустим, неделю после отлёта - и вот она, вожделенная прямая (почти). При условии, что Марс в момент перелёта в нужном месте, конечно.

Друзья! Как исправить проблему бесцветного Марса? Что на голом Орбитер 2016 на стандартных текстурах, что на текстурах высокого качества... Нет текстур и точка. И Орбитер переустанавливаю, и даже Винду переустановил - одно и тоже

I have seen 'German' (in the manner of being German, not a noun) translated as Германий online in several places, but I recall from when I studied Russian Немецкий being the word in this instance. Sure enough Немецкий translates as German in Google translate, but I don't often see that usage in Russian. Is there a difference between these two words? I studied Russian shortly after the fall of the Berlin wall and wonder if this was an East/West German distinction that isn't relevant today?

I can maybe answer this, as representative of Germany: Германий is the country, Немецкий is the adjective "german", Немец is the German person. In all slavic languages, Germans are literally "Strangers", the words are derived from the protoslavic němьcь.

Thanks for this. Yes, now it is coming back to me. Just like how Aмериканский is the adjective American, where Aмериканец would describe an American person. I was curious about the root of Немецкий; I was not aware of its etymology.
