News 1st commercial spaceport opens today

excellent news. I can't afford suborbital flight yet but in future - who knows - anyway it's wonderful news

Good news. For some reason I thought it was going to be in west Texas, but I think I am getting it confused with some other project.

way cooler than an airport. I cant wait to sit in spaceport traffic and parking garages!!

"spaceport"?

Does anyone actually intend to launch vehicles from this facility that will do more than go up to 120 kilometers and come straight back down again?

That's exactly what I thought when I read "spaceport" opens.

I'm not really enthusiastic on this. It's nice, sure, but not breathtaking if I consider that we are in the year 50 after the first manned space flight.

thats still 110km higher than I've been... *sigh*

I don't know if it's officially an "intention", but Branson's plans/ambitions call for the next generation of the SS# line to be an intercontinental ballistic spaceliner.
