Nico Rosberg set the pace just ahead of Ferrari and Red Bull as Lewis Hamilton hit trouble in second practice at the Singapore Grand Prix.
Rosberg was 0.275 seconds quicker than Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen, with the Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo close behind.
Hamilton failed to complete a clean lap on his qualifying simulation on the ultra-soft tyres and ended up seventh.
He finished his session early because of a recurring hydraulic problem.

Nico Rosberg took a stunning pole position at the Singapore Grand Prix as Lewis Hamilton was demoted to third by Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo.
Hamilton was a massive 0.704 seconds slower than Rosberg after a difficult qualifying session, befitting what has been a troubled weekend throughout.
Red Bull's Max Verstappen took fourth ahead of Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen.

Yeah, storming lap from Riccardo, and sulky boy nowhere to be seen after that shocker of a session (no surprise).

Both Red Bulls are starting on the super soft tyres, while everyone around them will be on ultras. Hopefully this will shake the race up a bit; Singapore is a bogey circuit for the Mercedes, and it's not a power circuit.

You kidding? Singapore makes the cars look super-pretty under the lights. The track is a bit processional though. Good race by Seb to come from last to 5th (quali issues). Top 3 finished same order as they started.

Watched it a few times, but it ends up looking like a video game. Prefer the scenic circuits.

There may not be much to look at, but it's a track where the Mercedes cars are at least kept honest, which to me makes it quite valuable in the current era. Sepang next, is much more power-based in the final sector, which I expect will suit them a lot more.
