Lewis Hamilton top in Spain as Raikkonen breaks down

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/44082087

Lewis Hamilton headed Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen in a difficult-to-read second practice at the Spanish Grand Prix.
Hamilton and Ricciardo were just two of a number of drivers who set their fastest times on the soft tyre rather than the theoretically faster super-soft.
Verstappen and Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel did improve on the super-soft but were only third and fourth quickest.
It meant a clear competitive picture was even harder to discern than usual.

Mercedes seems to have a big advantage on this track compared to the RB and Ferrari but with all the slippery parts on the track and the runouts during practice and qualifying it could be that strategy is the judge and jury tomorrow. Doesn't fare well for Raikkonnen :D but I'm looking forward to a potentially exciting race.

I wonder how RB will sort out their drivers after their Baku debacle - they are driving very similar times again.

Sadly no live tv coverage here, so online only. Looks like a good race.

Thats a shame, looked like it might have been a good one.

Just for continuity:

Lewis Hamilton won for the second race in succession by dominating an eventful Spanish Grand Prix.
The Mercedes driver was supreme at the front in a race that featured a heavy first-lap crash, two caution periods and a number of spins and collisions.
Hamilton's win moves him into a 17-point championship lead, with title rival Sebastian Vettel fourth on Sunday following questionable strategy calls from his Ferrari team.
Valtteri Bottas made it a Mercedes one-two ahead of Red Bull's Max Verstappen.

no live TV coverage in UK? We got the Sky feed on ESPN in the USA.

Pretty average race, with not much overtaking. Big incident on lap 1:
- Haas Driver Romain Grosjean kept the throttle fully on doing spin recovery right in the middle of the track, with the pack all round him. 3 grid penalty for the next race, but frankly he should be banned for a while ... just dumb.

Its covered by UK Channel Four here, they aren't doing every race.
No idea who's paying who for what in F1!

I see that Sky Sports has every race, and C4 has some live and some highlights only.

Over here, we have ESPN, who took over from NBC Sports, and immediately chose to buy the Sky Feed. After an outcry with the adverts on the first race, they have taken each race advert-free since (which is really unusual / a.k.a. almost unheard of). It's actually pretty good!

Yeah I catch ESPN2 too and I like it.

There's an F1 TV now - 30$ a year. They let you listen in to any team radio you want + old races + documentaries. I think it's a fair deal.
