News A blogger strips down Energomash secrets

That's awesome. Love it. Kinda worried for her though cause she might end up with more trouble than she expects.

I'd seen these already but I agree with you. While I think it's interesting, I'd rather have a semi-official 50 cent tour by someone (preferably a technician) who could explain the purpose of the equipment.

I question the wisdom of trespassing, then telling the world and bragging about it.

Seems to need a new sign out front. :P
"NO TRESPASSING. Violators will be shot, survivors will be shot again."

Maybe that'll work?

Doesn't work here... I still get people banging on the door to sell me magazine subscriptions.

I need a really big people eating dog. And an automated defense grid. And land mines.

Perhaps a big kettle in a fire circle with a pentagram burned into the grass would keep the religious commandos away...

But in fairness (sort of) I think it was a group like this who posted pictures that I used a a reference for Energia-M. Maybe that was the same red-head?

Anyway, not only is it trespassing, but wandering around an industrial facility is dangerous. Even when a person is authorized and "on the clock". A slip/trip/fall could be life threatening. How exactly does on call for help if Something Bad happens when you're sneaking around someplace where you're not supposed to be?

I guess the first thing they need is a braver breed of watchdogs.

Yeah, those are really a shame to the canine race ! Or they should just stop to over-feed them, some starvation could give them back some agressivity !

The real good thing about this is that the intruders were people searching for emotions lead by a little unconscious but good-willing young woman. Could have been terrorists as well (the factory seems to be in urban area, and I guess there are stocks of cryogenic propellants to carry the engine tests ?).

Actually, they should allow those young people to visit the plant as they will. Seeing the factory is occupied at night could be dissuasive for visitors with bad intentions or vandals...

You mean like the German Democratic Republic border watchdog breeds? Who had been taken home by their soldiers because they had been perfect, friendly, calm and child compatible family dogs?

Or maybe they could take a look at this site... It looks very costly to build such a fence, for sure ... Not a military-grade one of course, but much better than nothing !

A local farmer could probably do it for a bottle of vodka or two ! ;)

Fixed fortifications are monuments to man's stupidity.

Somehow i have bad feeling that one of those doors similar to the one she entered is guarding several kilos of HEU

Anyway nice postings...
