Hi,

1 - I'm wondering how I can change the launch heading (Inclination?) with the Space Shuttle Fleet. Normally I would like to target the ISS, and on those scenarios I've tested, the autopilot flies the shuttle to a good inclination to dock with the ISS. But how can I change the inclination if I would like to target the Hubble for ex.?

2 - I've downloaded the "Endeavor Countdown[Air-to-Ground Comms]" file that's found here:

[ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3634"]Endeavor Countdown[Air-to-Ground Comms][/ame]

But for the countdown file to initiate, is it really necessary to give a short burst with the main engines? Or can I start the countdown with some other kind of keystrokes?

3 - What countdown file do you recommend?

Thanks for helping me out!

It's in the manual.

Shuttle Fleet Manual said:
TGT_HEADING <xxx> <yyy> Sets the target heading and apoapsis
<xxx> is the target heading in degrees.
<yyy> is the target orbit apoapsis in kilometers. It
only works for targets from 183 to 600, anything
else will default it to ~240.
If <xxx> and <yyy> are omitted the autopilot
defaults to 42° and 240 km.
If TGT_HEADING is not present, the autopilot is off.

Notice that to achieve a certaing inclination (equator projection) you need a certain heading. Shuttle fleet allows to input heading, not orbit inclination. To calculate heading, you may need [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4002"]Launch Azimut Calculator[/ame]

Hi again,

garyw,

Thank you. I must admit that I have not started doing much scenario editing, so I have not read that part of the manual. My hope was that I could change the target heading and apoasis using the GPCMFD. Anyway, thanks for the answer!

Ar81,

I appreciate the link to the Launch Azimuth Calculator! It has been downloaded :)

Your tutorial is very informative, and I appreciated especially the part about how the Shuttle docks to the station. Tomorrow I'll find and take a look at the playback you refer to that shows how the shuttle flies its approach. Looking forward to that :)

Is there an "EVA tutorial" somewhere also maybe?

Thanks,
