Hi everyone,

I just needed to share an event in my life right now... One of my friends and mentor, 20 years older than me, a paramedic who happened to share my passion of everything aircraft-related, is on the edge of taking his "last flight" in life.

He was diagnosed with a nasty form of leukemia about a year ago, and unfortunately, all treatments have failed and is now in the process of slipping the surly bonds of earth...

He was a generous friend, who owned a small aircraft and developed a small airfield in my community, who even lent me some financial assistance in the process of obtaining my pilot license. I just wanted to share my sorrow at seeing his life cut short at 53 years old.

Here's a small tribute in his memory, have a safe journey my friend... :salute:

Sorry to hear that no one should have their life cut short. My prayers are with you all.
He will now sprout wings and ascend to a new place and watch over you all and be able to fly amongst us in spirit.

I'm sorry to hear this. It's always very sad to hear of such events, but I hope you, he, or your families find at least a bit of confort in knowing he put his time to good use. :(
